I've been to Portland quite a few times so I know the city pretty decently. My mom has only been there twice in all the years we have lived in the Northwest and both were really brief trips for work so we thought we'd go down there for a couple days.

Good looking out though Kon. If I think of anything I'll message you.

Usually if you are denied for any reason they will send you a notice well before they start cutting the checks.

That said on the website it said it would take up to a week to send out all the checks and they just started yesterday. My guess would be it's going in the order of when the claims were filed but who knows.
My mom filed at the last minute, I filed early so we both got one yesterday, it eill probably cime this week unless whoever checks the mail threw it away because check looks like a postcard.

Most of the settlements take upwards of a year and sometimes more before you will get a check. This is actually the quickest turn around I've ever seen with the filing date only closing a few months ago.

That said here is a list of all open settlements, some of the require PoP though..

Thought it was a postcard..but it was a check for $167.47 from Sketchers ... free money!

Sent from my SGH-T999

I got mine for 153-something.

The postcard tripped me out, too, because my utilities company and the umpiring gig I have sometimes sends out my bills or notices on those cards. I opened that shit up and it was a check! I should have signed up my while fam, but I was worried about getting busted. lol

I'll take $153, though. That's a set of lowering springs.

UPDATE on EASPORT Class Action.

Appeal delays payouts from EA Sports football antitrust lawsuit settlement

Payouts from the $27 million settlement fund in Electronic Arts' class-action football monopoly lawsuit are being held up while one member of the class appeals the lawyers' fees from the case, reports Kotaku.
The petitioners in Pecover v. Electronic Arts filed suit in June 2008, charging that EA's exclusive licensing agreements for its Madden NFL, NCAA Football and Arena Football franchises violated antitrust laws. After more than four years of litigation, EA settled the suit out of court last July, agreeing to pay $27 million to the class action while continuing to deny any wrongdoing. Due to a lack of claims submitted by participants in the suit, the terms of the settlement agreement were modified this past April to triple the payouts per game while keeping the total fund at the same amount, and the agreement was finalized May 30.
In writing the final agreement, the court dismissed the objections of nine individuals to the terms of the settlement. One of those people, Aaron Miller, objected to the legal fees being paid out from the settlement fund, which amount to $7.29 million. That's approximately 27 percent of the total fund, and since the court's guidelines stipulated that the fees should comprise no more than 30 percent of the fund, the objection was dismissed.
However, Miller is appealing the objection to the federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and until the appeal is resolved, no class-action participants can receive payouts from the settlement.

Welcome to the Information Website for the LCD Class Action

This website provides information about class action lawsuits concerning an alleged conspiracy to fix the prices of Thin Film Transistor-Liquid Crystal Display panels and products (“TFT-LCDs”), and the settlements between Plaintiffs and some of the Defendants. All of the settlements have been finally approved by the Court.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

The Court approved a first distribution of the Settlement Fund for the LCD Direct Settlements on July 12, 2013 and checks were mailed to eligible Class Members on July 23, 2013. All claimants who wish to move the Court for an order permitting payment of a late-filed claim or disputed claim must file a declaration under oath with the Class Administrator no later than 30 days from July 12, 2013. For late-filed claims, the declaration must explain why the claim’s lateness should be excused and payment should be allowed. For disputed claims, the declaration must explain why the claimant disputed the Claims Administrator's or Class Counsel's determination. Class Counsel will thereafter file a report with the Court regarding such claims and a recommendation regarding whether payment should be made for any or all of those clams. After the Court decides whether such claims should be paid, a second and final distribution will be made.
