^hopefully this will be the last yr of alex smith, then CK time after. hopefully alex can 'game manage' all the way to a SB. cuz that's what u gotta HOPE he does again this season. 9ers gotta catch some breaks w/ that schedule, let's not kid ourselves, they caught quite a few last year. everyone needs to take their homer goggles off and realize having smith MAY get u to the promised land, but u need luck and it's gonna be frustrating as fuck to watch. manning woulda changed all that....oh well
I don't know, Harbaugh might have did a little too much with this one. A. Smith has to be like WTF considering the rollercoaster the last few days. He seems to have good head on his shoulders but him and Harbaugh might have just lost that chemistry they had going on last year. Im actually ok with Alex walking but then we gotta use our first round pick on the QB from Texas A&M or the Old ass guy from Oklahmoa State which may not be a bad move and I think we have the talent in place where we could smoothly transition to a new QB which is pretty fucked up when you consider the infrastructure Alex walked into which is basically why I try to defend him
I will tell you what it is called, it is called self respect. his agent played him, his HC played him, if he goes back to SF I give him props for sucking it up but that doesn't change what happened. One thing you need on the field is chemistry and how can Jim look Smith in the eye from here on out and say "you are my guy." Maybe now, but there were alot of other teams that could use Manning's services but they get it.
