Who said I'm heated, I just don't understand the point of this thread.
I said you were heated, if you're not then you're acting like you are. The point of this thread is "HBO drops Joshua Clottey" and I posted quotes before and after the fight..... then you wanna get all offended and start talking about the Gomez/Cotto prediction I made a while back...

Your team gave Pacman too much credit for Joshua's poor performance and HBO ain't trying to hear about the 1200 punches that pacman threw.

Now do you understand the point of this thread?

you left out the part about how you kept mentioning my name in your posts, as if hbo dropping clottey somehow proves me wrong about something.

For the fourth time now tony, I've said Clottey didn't show any balls and didn't take any risks. Pacquiao obviously was too much for him. HBO feels the same, the guy is not a draw and he never was, period.

why is it so hard for tony to understand how flawed his logic is? it's like trying to explain calculus to a downs baby.
Man I purposely left one of your quotes out because you're a Raiders (I think or I at least thought).... So I let you off of the hook and now you want to clown and throw a pebble in?

If HBO felt the same then they wouldn't be dropping him.... I don't think they're dropping him because "Pacquiao was obviously too much for him", they're dropping him because he didn't show up to win and they can't trust that he won't do that again in the future. Those execs at HBO must have been really pissed at his effort to "win".

You don't need to be a draw to fight for/on HBO "non" pay per view. Looks like they're dropping him from HBO period, not just from pay per view events. I could be wrong though....

HBO dropping Clottey has nothing to do with Pacquiao!

Get it now, that's the whole point of this thread.

you're point is retarded. If HBO dropping clottey has "nothing to do with pacquiao" then what are you trying to say?

He's lost his last 2 fights, he put up a shitty ass performance and left a bad taste in the mouths of boxing fans, so I don't understand why this is so shocking.

To be fair I'm surprised HBO even had him in the first place as he's never been the exciting fighter HBO typically likes to have (they give millions to "exciting" guys with little or no talent like Chris Arreola, etc., clottey doesn't fit their typical mold). Clottey always seemed to me like a Showtime fighter.

Those last fights that Clottey were in and barely lost, it looked like he wanted to win (against Margarito and Cotto).

Maybe pissed off fans emailed HBO to talk about how bad of a performance and fight Clottey put up. I don't know, but he had to blow to get booted off of a network.

You can say my point is retarded all you want but it's the truth. I know it hurts!

HBO dropping Clottey has nothing to do with Pacquiao, it has to do with Clottey and his will to win or lack of will.

Point taken? Good!

Clottey will be back, his career is far from over. I still view him as a tough good fighter. He fought someone with much better hand speed and couldnt do anything about it. I doubt he has to worry about that again. Most fighters wont be able to throw that many punches in a fight especially true welterweights or any higher weight. Even Paul Williams threw himself out against Margarito but held on for the W.

Damn.. all i'm gonna say is that Clottey had no choice, Pacman was too quick for him so he had to pick his punches carefully. His plan seemed to work because Pacman didn't K.O. him in the 7th like I had called.

Because this is the only post worth talking about in this retarded ass thread .. I don't think Williams threw himself out against Margarito .. just look at what he did to Winky. Williams was having a semi easy go until Margarito started folding him over with shots to the body. I was actually impressed that Williams didn't get put away in that fight the way the shots to the body were obviously effecting him.

Funny this is the dude Manny and Camp went speeding off to sign while Floyd kept the offer on the table. What a joke.
Pacquiao's offer of the 20 day cutoff was rejected by floyd, so it's a two way street man (floyd wanted 14, pac 20, it fell apart).

Clottey was the highest rated welterweight available for pacquiao to fight, so regardless if clottey put up a good fight or not it's a solid first title defense at 147.

I cant say much because havn't watched the fight yet, but if it's true that clottey didnt put much of a effort to put in some offense(by choice or not) then that might be a little downer for Pac not being able to ko the guy. IMO!!

Clottey was landing flush shots (when he decided to punch), he didn't want to beat Pacman. Pacman's punches (the very few that did land) didn't even hurt Clottey.... Clottey just didn't want to hurt Pacman. I wish you could of seen the punches Clottey was landing. Flush right hands!

In that case Pacman didn't wanna hurt Clottey either... remember the 1st round? Where Pacman hurt him and then just backed up?

In the end they just had too much respect for eachother, imagine IF the Klitschko (sp?) brothers were to fight?
