Khan beat that guido down just like I said and got the stoppage which helped my bank account grow lol. Paulie's head snapped back so much it was like a speed bag.

It was a good fight too despite it being one side, felt very intense first half of the fight.

I hope now people realize how good Khan is and how much he's improved since being with Freddie Roach and training/sparring with Pacquiao. He's very technically sound, great jab, great power and incredibly fast. Probably fastest hands at 140.

I love what he said - He fights Maidina next and Bradley fights Alexander, winners fight. Absolutely perfect.

I don't think khan could beat Alexander but I think he beats Maidina and possibly even bradley.

Paulie got dominated mane....Like the homie T rip said i didnt know much about khan either.....But he is a monster.....That straight jab was eating paulie alive.....

Paulies corner at first told him to stay away.....Then later in the fight after they figured Khan's jab wasnt going to stop...They told him to go inside.....They mismangaed this fight for Paulie......But im not sure if it was managed right paulie could have changed the outcome anyways.....Khan is sav....

yeah man khan is a great fighter, in every category. The only thing is his chin. But if he fights the way he's been doing, keeps that chin tucked in and keeps his guard up he'll be fine.

Plus, I believe that now that he spars against pacquiao on the regular, and welterweights and middleweights i.e bigger stronger guys, that toughens you up and does improve your chin. Back in the UK before Roach, he was sparring against stiffs and wasn't really allowed to get hit, and that showed in his fights. He's better now and he's only 23 so he can keep improving.

Did you think that fight was competitive?
Paulie got dominated like a gimp in a Yugoslavian BDSM whore house.
lmao! it was a nice fight I aint gone hate, Khan boxed him smart was more powerfull. I dont think he really hurt Paulie tho just played it safe and won rounds. Paulie never ran, just looked like he wanted to prove he could last. I don't even know why it was stopped must of been the slow computer I was watching it on lol

^^yeah I think maybe it was watching on the computer, Paulie was definitely hurt in the last couple rounds and he was taking some heavy punishment, he wasn't going to last his legs were gone and his face told the story. The referee, Steve Smoger, is the best in the game and he's known for never stopping fights unless there is a good reason.

Completely legitimate stoppage. He was getting battered around in there.
Even if Paulie had one punch knock out power, it would have still been stopped.
He had nothing left. Any more punishment would have caused unnecessary damage.

Does anybody have a list of what boxers earn? How much do people like Paulie, khan and paul williams get paid per fight.....I seen something on pavlik that earned him 1.2 million for fighting jermain taylor....and after he paid all his people he had a check around 660k to himself.....One local pro at the gym i take my kids 2 earns about 1500 for a win......and he's 5-1 so he's just starting out......

He seems a bit timid. I think that knockout loss from Maidina is still in the back of his mind. He's young so they are trying to rebuild him.

I don't think he could hang with the top of 140 though regardless - bradley, alexander and khan would all beat him, imo.

Not sure if this is 100% accurate but I read HBO purse was $1.5 million for the main event [Khan-Malignaggi]. Amir gets $ 1.1 million dollar and Paulie gets the remaining $400,000. On top of that both fighters get money for the people in attendance. I believe Paulie gets a 60-40 split in his favor for this since it was in his home town.

What fighters make all depends on your popularity obviously, your promotional team, etc.. How much the gate earns, etc. The promoter gets a certain percentage, you got to pay your trainers & your team. And if you're fighting for a belt you have to pay the sanctioning fee which is usually a small percentage of the purse as well, like 1% or something like that.

yeah ortiz doesn't look right to me. Beating campbell was probably a good thing for him though mentally though he just needs to keep building his confidence.

Plus, there's no reason for this fight to happen yet since they are both under golden boy and they wouldn't want to have two of their best young rising stars fight eachother.

Vazquez vs Marquez this weekend.

I'm not very pleased with this one. They have literally caused each other permanent damage in their 3 wars. I love boxing but this is a little barbaric at this point.

It's been so long that I don't even know if they even fight the same way.

I agree 100%. Their first 3 fights are arguably the best trilogy of all time and it's crazy that the fourth fight is hardly getting any type of press or hype at all, probably for the same reasons you mentioned. A lot of people see this fight as being unnecessary and is very dangerous - they've both taken so much punishment no one wants to see these two warriors get seriously hurt.

People might forget this, but Freddie Roach trained Vazquez for a while and after the first Marquez fight he refused to train him anymore because he said Vazquez was starting to slur his words and he should retire. Now, some of this may just be Freddie being overly cautious being that he has Parkinson's disease himself, but on the other hand what if he's right?
