Well for one, all of the Super Six guys fought in other countries (Froch, Dirrell, Kessler, Abraham, Taylor) except for Ward. And he wasn't even a big name yet. So Thats where a lot of it comes from.
Second, he already beat Kessler and Froch. Clearly. They would make more money rematching him in their home countries because they have more fans. So if Ward doesn't want to fight there, kessler and Froch can fight eachother, or other domestic guys like Froch vs Groves which had 80 fucking thousand fans and make way more money. So really, Ward can't dictate the terms.
Look at Bernard Hopkins. His legacy, his name was far greater than Jean Pascal. But Hopkins fought him twice in Canada to make the fight happen and because he knew it was more money for him to fight in Montreal vs Atlantic City. Like Ward, Hopkins doesn't have the most fan friendly style and sometimes you have to understand the circumstances and what's necessary to make a fight and the money. Ward never seemed to understand that. He feels since he's #2 he's entitled to all this shit, That's not the way it works.
No one here is debating the talent of Ward. He's awesome. But he does act like a diva and/or is way to controlling when he himself is not a big draw. I understand why Mayweather does it. Why Cotto does it. It's because they are big stars and they can. Ward is not. Thats reality. We're never going to see Rigondeaux on a PPV despite him being one of the best boxers in the game. Thats just life. The sooner Ward realizes this the sooner he'll get the fights he wants. Otherwise he's forever going to be chasing something he's never going to get.
