why dont anyone mention them when they talk about bay area rappers? i think these cats are on some lyrical shit. and they complement each other. what yall think about them?

their more of the hip-hop side of the bay, i first heard of them a couple years back when my cousin did a few songs with them, they do have some catchy songs

the producer is amp-live. even though people consider them "backpack" group, they are starting to span out a lil. take a look at that "The Bay" remix.

Zion I is my fuckin fav rap group...They probably dont get no props cus they dont got that club type of vibe..but fasho ZION I got lyrics spittin real shit ..its that shit u wannna hear when u jus goin through some bull shit in life...Mind over matter ....cop dat old school shit

yeah zion i is hard to classify...you can classify them as "backpacker" although they probably dont want to be boxed in at all..they can be considered socially concious/revolutionary like "the coup" they can be considered "new bay" even theough they been out for a minute...since they rep the bay hella hard...even b4 da hyphy movement...

deep water slang wasn't as good as mind over matter. it had a few good songs but it was pretty much a dissapointment IMO. haven't copped their latest shit tho, still gotta pic dat up.
