I had to give dap when it's due and Z-Man, you're vicious dude.........DOPE OR DOGFOOD is a superdope hip-hop record that comes out January 27th, 2004. This is Z-man aka Gingerbread Man from Tha 99th Dimension. He is down wid Souls of Mischief, Sacred Hoop, etc.... "Dope or Dogfood", I'm lovin this record. It's got good stories which most records lack these days(maybe I'm just sick of bling raps and rim size raps!). ........Peace y'all, Tha Mental Oriental YAYsian, RHYTHMX / Tha Highenaz / BlackChico / WesternConference / $ickWid'It Records

I listened to the first three samples.

My first reaction was "you've got to be kidding me". After giving it more listens, I'd much rather listen to Z-RO, than ZMan.

Like someone said, this dude defintely isn't for everyone.

Refill: Fa sho. PM me for my number.

LeonKage: I thought I knew you dude. You've got expand your mental parameters. Now if you're saying Z-Ro, then you should'nt be listening to this type of hiphop anyway. Z-Ro is gangstashit. ZMan is hiphop shit. Two different types of musick me fella. Now, don't let me catch you liking him after everyone else does. ;) Cause that's how tha Yay be sometime. But then again, this is why tha Yay has so much trouble coming up again. NO SUPPORT. Z-Ro is RapALot folks, but ZMan is us, reppin tha YAY. We gotta stick together and one yay, hopefully it will grow on you my same soil. Peace, Rx

DankSinatra:

I'm open to alot of stuff. ALOT of different music. I didn't say dude is garbage, I just said what I heard isn't for me. Especially when I've never heard or heard of the guy and you & Mark7 big him up I"m thinking "who is this guy that everyone's hip to him but me?". My reaction was based on, I was expecting something more than what it was I heard.

The BlackChico project sounds like something innovative and I'd love to hear that. I like rap, hip hip, rock, blues, r&b, metal, dancehall, reggae, "screw", punk, old school, and even some country songs! I'd say I'm pretty open to music :)

How old r those first 3 clips? He is hip hop and that is cool he's doing his thing, some of his "punchlines" even made me even laugh. I'd like to hear something more from ZMan so I can form an opinion :)

LeonKage: Fa Sho fam. You need to listen to tha whole album. He's got a song on there called Party On that talks about most of tha Yay rappers names in a good way. I love that shit. But yeah, ZMan is definitely talented and very refreshing for tha eardrums. Peace my soils, Rx

I'm on a dial up connection right now. I'll be at the house later (where I have cable) and check him out.

And btw, I don't like alot of the rap I hear nowadays (whether it comes from ny, down south, the bay, sac, or the homie down the street doesn't matter to me I judge music on how it makes me feel now where it comes from) because I'm not 19yrs old anymore, and I prefer not to hear songs full of bullshit.

I don't care about anyone's car, money, bitches, spinning rims, etc etc (I think you see where I"m coming from)...so anything "different" is a welcome change

My rellie Z-MAN has been putting it down for a long time. "DOPE OR DOGFOOD" is an incredible album. No one in the game is spittin like Z he has something for everyone. Some of my favorites from the album are "Domain" "Party On" "No Cure for Sugar" "Bigots and bitches" Hell, I could go on and on.

Besides that dope BLACKCHICO project Z also has an ep called "Don't Forget To Brag" produced by my potna G-PEK, some hot shit with Eddie K of 40oz Crew/Space Travelers, and he's already working on the next full length "2 CUPS OF SPIT"

Z is reppin the bay to the fullest so support local talent and cop Dope or Dogfood on the 27th!

GURP CITY!!
