Rapper Yung Joc was arrested early yesterday (Dec. 23) at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport after a loaded gun was found in his carry-on luggage.

The 24-year-old artist, whose real name is Jasiel Robinson, may face federal charges per the Air Piracy Act. As of last night, he was being held at Cuyhoga County Jail.


Yung Joc is best known for his debut hit, "It's Goin' Down," which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2006. His latest album, "Hustlenomic$," was released last August and opened at No. 3 on The Billboard 200.

"I'mma let you know I was thinking 'bout going into the military," Joc told SOHH. "I wanted to be a sniper. I grew up with b.b. guns and sh-t like that. I got crazy aim, so I would hate for someone to run up on me and get his a-s touched, cuz I'm licensed to carry and yes I do carry."

Earlier this year Forbes magazine listed Joc as the 20th wealthiest hip-hop artists, saying he earned an estimated $10 million in 2006.

this garbage ass rapper needs to be locked up, leave him in there, that way i wont have to hear any more coffee shop songs... or his alter ego gorilla zoe (basically yung joc with a little bit lower voice)
