Despite narrowly escaping being the victim of an armed robbery attempt, Universal Records rapper Maino is in good condition after fighting off his attacker.
A source at Universal Records confirmed reports of the failed robbery attempt at a Brooklyn sneaker store Saturday night. While shopping at the store Maino was approached by an unidentified suspect who put a gun to his head and attempted to rob the rapper. Maino fought his attacker off, wrestling him to the ground. While some accounts of the incident claim his assailant was injured by his own gun going off during the struggle, sources at Universal were unable to confirm whether or not the suspect was shot.
Maino was not seriously injured in the attack and was in attendance at New York's Club Strata for Chamillionaire's Platinum Party last night (June 5th).
Maino recently also got into a scrap with Junior Mafia member Lil Cease. Their feud stems from Cease's ongoing beef with Maino associate Lil Kim.
