i gotta laugh when i see sum of the opinions on this board.

"1) BIG DADDY KANE" ..LOL...Maybe in 1988 , it's hard being the kane nowadays.

2) RAKIM - not made a decent record since 1997 , needs to dig paul c up or get on sum minessota beats.

3)"shyheim" - lmfao - are you kidding me ?

4)"phife" - is he even makin records anymore? everyone knows tribe have fallen the fuck off.

5)"Smoothe da Hustler
Shabazz The Disciple" - when did they last even put solos out ? they were hot for about 1 month in 1995

6)"method man" - lost his hunger back in 1994 - i guarantee he wont be on def jam after this solo.

7) "special ED"- his last lp in 1995 was garbage.

i mean they all had they moments and i got records by all of em . but please...

Rakim * kane are two of the greatest rappers ever , but they time has been and gone.

Even though I kept my top artist to 1990 + the topic of the post is "your top 3 east coast artist" so even though some of the above mention artist might have not dropped anything recentley or have put out alright albums of late doesn't mean that they can't be someone's "top east coast mc's"

dayum kace, you prolly are right lol i'm not really sure tho, cause i rememba reading somewhere (i forgot tho) that stic had gotten arrested in brooklyn for no reason at all, and the article was saying he got arrested in his hood in brooklyn, so naturally i'm assumeing he's from brooklyn, but even if he's not from there, he's still raw, but then florida is technically on the east coast, they just have the southern style, but if they out the east coast race, i'd have to replace them wit das efx

Everybody knows that? That's YOUR opinion and as far as Rakim being "one of the most overated mc's in hip hop history" you're trippin hard, but then again, that is YOUR opinion

Damn a year later and I would say my recent (last 10 or so years) mc's have stayed about the same.

I just don't know how I forgot Buckshot (Black Moon) on there...I would put him instead of Shyne in my top 10.

East Coast cats that are quickly becoming amongst my faves in the past year....

Papoose...this cat might be on of the dopest to grab a mic in a long time.

Saigon...dude spits lots of heat.

Hell Rell

JR Writer

Littles

I am sure I am forgetting a fews but those mc's above got some real skills.
