It seems kinda funny how the same cats always show up in a droop thread to be super analytical about his material. I know for one speakin to him about all of this recorded material and hearing it a while back, what his intentions were. This takes me back to the days of his instore signing and so many people showing up to hate. I know it comes with the territory. I know all the replies will be that he hasn't dropped in a while etc... But he has been busy all the while droppin verses for cats. To his credit I have sat him down and let him read all the replies of negativity everyone would have on this forum and he would just blow it off. This project was not meant to suprise everyone as the long awaited solo from droop, but just something for cats who havent heard from him in a while. I think it's difficult for any artist to evole and experiment because they're always pigeonholed to their first project. If it's not the exact duplicate, no matter how many years it's not accepted. It's a catch 22 situation, he got tired of people complainin that he rapped too fast all the time so he slowed it down. Now he slowed it down I like it better when he spits fast. And some cats go overboard with the hate, I can understand being critical of someone and thier work. But I know some just take it to the next level. And make it personal, with all the unecessary extra commentary.

After 7yrs you expect people to take this as a "tie me over" album and not a solo effert? Come on man, I totally understand where his concept is for this album but its being pushed and promoted as his "new solo" album. He went about it wrong if he wanted it to be more a tie me over album. too me you should have titled it, "Young Droop Presents - King Me" then all the features and single verses would make sense because its sounds more like a comp than a solo. But when its just called Young Droop - King Me" that pretty much gave it the title of a solo. How else are we suppose to take it on the outside looking in. So what is it gonna be another 7yrs for an offical album to drop? Im just givin my opinion on this. I dont try to bash the man at all. You also say people complained to him he was rappin too fast? Who was complaining he needs to slow it down? I for one think his fast flows were tighter. The only thing I think is he needs to be more understandable when he spits fast but thats about it.

Well said,But somtimes ones commentary isn't as unecessary through anothers eyes as it is yours.
Eye gotta say the man has some good reflection with his opinion and I agree with alot he has said.
A comeback album my not be what he was goin for but its been 7 years so thats what it looks like from the outside.
Ya know if it aint broke dont fix it,your gunna have critisizm no matter what, but he blew up rappin fast and rappin gangbangin...and for him to drop this SLOP after his brilliant past was a real dissapointment.
p.s. Hopefully you also showed him the thousend of threads sayin how gr8 he is and not just tried to make everyone look like a hater
^^^^ The unecessary commentary would be justified by anyone whose motive was to hate in the first place. And that is in reference to anyone who speaks in a deragotory manner about him instead of just judging his music. I could care less as well if a person dissaproves of his work or is critical in any regard. I just think some love the idea to rush to throw salt and speak beyond the point of I like it or I don't. I know its been a while since his last project, but it wasn't like that Freedom of Speech project wasn't being worked on. He stayed real busy and I know this laid back style was experimental. Look at all the features done since MOI and you still have that hunger in his flows as well as rapid delivery. The "if it aint broke dont fix it" attitude really dosen't apply because all artists are suppose to evolve and experiment. I didn't have to only show him threads of people that made themselves look like haters. But I also showed him the positive ones. Like I mentioned earlier I'm not so concerned whether one likes or dislikes his material.

I know he wanted people to have some material to hold on to while he is finishing up the 2000 hate project. I don't believe he thought people would try to differetiate it being a compilation or solo. He just wanted to realease music he knew alot of people hadn't heard. Me and him joke about how long its been since his last release, and i assure you he want's to be more consistent with his releases. I know he's had alot going on during those 7 years you keep referring to. So i'm not nor is he expecting anyone to take it one way or the other in regards to it being a "tie me" over project. I wanted to just clarify his posistion for those in the dark. And people out here always complain about him rapping too fast. That didn't make him want to abandon his strength, but experiment with some new flows. I'm sure 2000 hate will give you the old fashioned droop you're accustomed to.

This album sucks, if these are all recent tracks then you can tell Young Droop still got the talent but the production is horrible.

The if it aint broke don't fix it aint an attitude it's a point of view.
And I agree an artist should be open and try new things.
And yes this board is notorius for people "throwin salt" without any good reasoning.
Fact of the matter is this was presented as Droop's new album and people are not feelin it like his old shit.
So please if someone has an opinion that differs from yours or speaks there mind with reason just take it with a grain of salt and stop being on the defence.
You could tell us all the reasons in the world what happened and why happend but it is what it is.

First off, I mentioned that I could care less what people thought of his project. I only wanted to clarify because I spoke to droop about this project he was putting out a long while back. I myself knew it wasn't equivalent to any of his earlier work. I wanted him to put out some heat for everyone as well. And thats when he mentioned that he had another project that he was trying to hit everyone wit that was like his earlier work. And the reasoning about everyone having differing opionions and points of view than mine is irrelevant. Solely because of the fact that I made reference to people going beyond the point of being critical of his music and making it personal. And to enlighten you, this was more so because of past threads where cats were really gettin personal for no apparent reason. Thats more than enough reason to be on the defence when people start bashin my rellys, instead of just discussing his music.

i put back two other (good) CDs and got this instead just based on his other solo albums being pretty tight.

i'm disappointed to say the least, but i'll still be waiting for that next one to drop hoping for some heaters.

Didn't pull me into anything at all, and no need for agression, just clarification. It wasn't so much as to whether the review was straight or accurate. It was what I started my post off by saying "why the same cats keep showing up in a Droop thread to go beyond criticism of the music". So it was rhetorical in every sense of the word. I already knew why he kept poppin up in his threads to throw salt. This is more so in reference to past posts about him by the same dude over and over and over. Or maybe its just sarcasm... lol

^^^I show up to throw salt? hahaha ya ok. maybe if you paid more attention to my posts and less time contradicting yourself about one min you don't care what people say then the next min you do, you would know I am giving my opinion on his cd. Instead you totally contradict yourself in saying you only care when people go to far and diss on droop and not his music. Take a good look around. This is a music thread and we have been giving opinions on his music. Droop is tight I own all his shit, But too you I am just a hater throwing salt in his game right lol. and what do you care if i was or wasnt going beyond criticism of his music? as long as its his music you don't care right? I honestly think you care either way judging by how many responses you keep posting when all we talking about IS droops music. If you didn't care(like you said you didnt) you wouldnt have replied until you heard someone say "fuck droop" or post something negative towards him. But instead you keep replying to every little post by me and everyone else regardless if its about him personally or not.

^^^^^^ I paid more than enough attention to your posts in this thread and others back some time ago. I haven't contradicted myself at all, just stated the facts. Maybe you're a lil confused about me making reference to just this post about his new cd. The throwing salt is in reference to alot of older threads. I mean it just got rediculous, I got to admit the consistency is there though. And it's good you own his material. I sat with him reviewing so many posts and never responding to them at all. I know this is music thread and that is excatly my point. And of course im going to reply to clarify something I said that's tooken out of context or misinterpreted. "Not cause i care, once again, about your disdain or taste for his music". (LoL) But because you don't get where im comming from. So this is really more of an internal thing you have to decide to deal with. Go back and jog the memory bank and try and recollect all the previous posts made by yourself concerning droop even back to kve times. Tell me then what you remember about those memorable sarcasmic replys back then. And im sure you too, then will reply also to my posts as well. And if you need some help remembering what you have said, I can be of assistance to you.

Well, appearntly you are the only one, becuase everyone else seems to be completely baffled as to what the fuck you are attempting to reference. Is it really that difficult to cite what youre trying to prove? If it is so appearnt and easy to see, that do us all a favor and point us in the right direction...

All i have seen is:

"Droop doesnt rap like he used to"

"The beats are wack"

"the album isnt good"

"the album sounds rushed"

"Droop sounds better rappin fast"

^^^^If yo consider that hating, then you need to slap youself....hard. Those are OPINIONS from FANS and CONSUMERS of the product.

I thougth we all got passed the "if you dont like something, youre a hater" stage here on the Siccness...guess i was wrong.
