Purgatory is not a temporary place. The condition or act of being in purgatory is temporary before the soul moves on. Purgatory remains. Does the earth cease to exist once your soul moves on because it was a temporary condition?

Additionally temporary nature has nothing to do with a void either.

it didnt say it was the place thats temporary. its temporary for the individual.

I see a "void" as once your dead you have no sense/thought/feeling/meaning/vision ect. Pure black, you are non-existent forever.

Heaven/ Purgatory/ Hell is all religious scare tactics to keep the people in-line for a stable economy.

Life after death? who knows? I done some drugs that make me really believe in other universe and dimensions, I hope I travel there to learn about what my true meaning is... and my energy becomes one with this universe we're in, and meet the greater power that all humanity seems to sense.

not to get too deep though, but whos to say it dosent just seem like forever?

i dunno, i have alot of research and experience with salvia and ive been in such a void before....and at the time i wholeheartedly believed to be there forever.

its a humbling experience to be turned into a tile on the floor for years.

john c lilly....a specialist on sensory deprivation and isolation tanks and ketamine wrote alot about things like voids.

I go to church every Sunday, by choice.
Sometimes with my brother, his wife and their two kids.
Sometimes alone.

I started back up a few months ago.
Before that, the last time I went on a consistent basis was when I was a little kid.
Sunday school type stuff.

My mom took me to church religiously (no pun intended) every Sunday when i was a kid then stopped going so as i got older i paid it no mind.Mom got back into church 5 or 6 years ago and i started going again with my ex then just stopped all together.I just began to see to many hypocrysies with religion, plus i feel like organized religion is dangerous especially in this day and age.I have a relationship with God but its on my terms,i dont feel the need to worship with a bunch of people that aint livin their lives right in a church every Sunday.

That would suck if there's just a void after death.

I know there's a chance that we share the same fate as dead animals and bugs... It'd be nice if its not void though
hm, why would a void suck? wouldn't that just be removing the illusion of duality that we must suffer from and fall victim to (hate, fear, obsession, addiction, etc.)
how come sensory perception is the only 'good' we can think of?
haha like it's just pitch black and that's it. That would suck.
again, how come? that would mean no hate, no fear, no sadness, no opposition as well.

"especially one that is temporary"

hell isnt temporary..if you go there youre there

unless you wanna look at hell as earth and this as purgatory for heaven
then okay

that would make sense being that life is temporary.

im just going off of the definition, here.
um, in islam, all people are in hell temporarily, atleast IF YOUR muslim.

but thats the islamic definition and terms of engagement for hell

not to get too deep though, but whos to say it dosent just seem like forever?

yup its quite peaceful, i've always enjoyed salvia, hard to find extra strength extracts that aren't too expensive around here tho.

becoming one, thats probably the best explanation i could give as well.

We are all one, the illusion of duality(maya), the false extremities(aka aren't absolute) we experience.

=D

and lol @ killahoe666, and goin to church for his girlfriends. man, i can only stand muslim get togethers for so long, and i gotta get outtaa there!
