I backtracked? How? All I did was agree with the statement. My original comment was Crooked I isn't on Lock's level as far as battling. Bruh said Lock recycles lines, I said the shit he recycles is better than everybody else's shit. Where is the backtrack?

lol at you backtracking super quick. let's face it, every battle rapper writes his lyrics. wait... let me rephrase myself, every successful battle rapper pre-writes.
Back to the topic, Ya Boy. I could careless what dude does in his life and all, but if I was asked to say something I would probably call him a sellout. The way I look at it is, he started off in the Bay Area making music with Bay Area artists. He was the rapper with the dreads and wearing the clothes people in the Bay were wearing. Then, all of a sudden, he runs off to L.A. to hit it big (that was how many years ago?). He's running around with a mowhawk, wearing clothes that Jim Jones and Juelz Santana wore a couple years back . I haven't seen any collabos with any Bay Area artists since then (correct me if I am wrong). Now, all I have seen are a bunch of mixtapes and a couple attempts at hit songs that never released to an album. Again, I don't know the situation, but he just comes off looking like a sellout that failed.
i wouldnt call him a sellout or a failure brah he down in l.a. makin moves, he got on espn...he got a number 1 hit on the radio in l.a. and he doin hella shows which i'm sure he gettin payed a lot for...brah down there makin money, gettin more noticed out there than he was out here

sportscenter playin it again tonight, i guess they lightweight usin it as a theme song now that they're based in l.a.

I love how everybody wants to call Ya Boy a sellout for leaving the Bay....what about his cousin Bailey? That nigga went all the way to Atlanta. When the last time we heard him rap with another Bay nigga other than that song with Quinn? How come he isn't called a sellout? Because he's not a sellout, and neither is Ya Boy. They are doing what's best for they're career.

I like Crooked I, but as a battle rapper he ain't nowhere on the level as Locksmith. And if we talking about diss records, Yukmouth is in a league all his own. Crooked has bars but i don't see him in that category.
actually good point

I always forget about Locksmith for some reason

dude is dope when it comes to battling... I guess I would have to say he's better than Crooked in that category because I've never really seen Crooked I in a battle

I'd still pick Crooked over Locksmith overall when it comes to rapping skills though... he's a beast on the mic

Yup, 7 mixtapes with no deal is best. like I said, I could careless about the situation. Ya Boy is an average rapper at best that most ride because he was born in the bay.

Everyone has an opinion. In my eyes Ya Boy is far better than average, in your eyes he's not. That's not the topic at hand. You, and other Siccness users are calling the nigga a sellout for leaving the Bay and changing his image. My question was, why is he the only one that gets that rap? It's a gang of other successful Bay Area bred rappers that branched out from the Bay and they don't have to hear that sellout bullshit.

Why do the Bay and So Cal constantly compete with one another on the music tip? That shit is stupid and extremely counter-productive as far as music goes. Cmon now...
Sometimes competition brings out the best in the ones involved.

everyone knows (or should know since its been mentioned so many times) this isnt even Ya Boys song. It's Dr Hollywoods... so to me it seems like people just want to start controversy over ya boy being featured on a song just to hate on him. Dont like his new image? cool, but dont act like he still doesnt shout out fillmore and the bay.

I got mixed emotions on this one...

It's a good look for YB so that's good for the bay but he's reppin LA on this one n I ain't got much love for LA.
why ain't u got love for LA? somethin happen to u over there?

really? wut would happen if they did? is this one of those "my city is harder then yours" comments?

to tha original topic about Ya Boy..... if a LA song is wut he needs to blow up then so ce it..... once he gets big he can rep tha Bay all he wants, but we know nobody is gon blow out tha bay, bay had they time with tha hyphy shit.....its a wrap, keak took 5 years to drop his shiity ass album where he sound like a budweiser frog losin his voice........by that time focus in tha hip hop community shifted to MIA and tha Bauce.
