Got it, wondering the same thing. He's been doin' the mixtape thing for a hot minute. I see Akon fuckin' with him so maybe album next year. I still wonder what's up with Wax and Akon, he been talkin' Konvict for a minute and still no album.
man i wanted to like this but i didnt feel it that much. granted it has a few slaps but i felt like he tried to jack the whole format of Fabolous "The Soul Tape" and just didnt do as well at all. Im still checking for him though, thats off top.
Didn't even know he was dropping another tape again this year....Kalifornia Konvict was str8 to me. I think the niggas been getting better and better since the mixtapes he been droppin in 2007-2008ish. But he needs to get that 2nd album out forreal....Hopefully sometime next yr.
Akon signed him in 2010 and he's dropped one song and one weak ass video featuring Akon. He better park a Bentley in front of the Fillmore projects and then cruise to Pier 17 and hop on yacht to get my attention again.
Its good / not great .......... I think he is being pushed to the side , I HOPE he'll be back in Fillmore in less than 6 years doing his own thing & probably doing better in all aspects of the bizz . He knows independent / everyone comes home I think his will & SHOULD be sooner than later .
