I said he was close to it, never said he was shelved. Im not saying its gonna happen to ya boy but theres a high ass chance he will be. Look at the current aftermath roster right now, the majority aint even have a recent cd out. Lets not talk about the other countless shelved artists on aftermath cuz for 1 i can only remember rakim.

this thread is a lil funny.....Talent + Major Marketing = a debut album..without that... it will flop no matter who you are & where you're from. Ya boy has got Talent...now..just the Major marketing in which they will probably say he's from Frisco but moved to LA years ago and was affiliated with Black Wall Street and work with Game and worked with K-Fed and so on & on......that's how they make this dude sound not fully Bay Area. Remember it's cool for us to be from the bay cuz this is our home.....but the rest of the hiphop nation still doesn't think it's all that.......so if Ya Boy is signed to Aftermath or whatever label who knows what will happen

I think what y'all don't realize is that mufuckas get signed to traditional artist deals everyday. Maybe... maybe... 5 - 10% of those that get signed actually have REAL records (not mixtapes or internet leaks) that get released.

Y'all geekin out because one of these many artist that have the potential to sign to a major is someone that you've been lucky enough to get to listen to before he might sign. Ya Boy is just as susceptible to what any other newly signed artist goes through.

Once an artist is signed, whether the public gets to hear him or not depends on the material that he creates and how fast he creates it. If the label feels comfortable releasing and pushing that material, then the public gets to hear it. If not... then... it's like he/she never signed.
