no xbox 360's have or will have HD-dvd or Blu-Ray drives built into them. It still plays games up to 1080p (full HD) but no high def player for movies.

Plus it looks more like a Walmart ad...I'll see when they arrive in the mail next week. Wonder if the arcade box will have a price drop too.

Yes! It's because it's their latest gen on the 360, code name: Jasper. Jasper was set to release in August but I hear they were trying to pull in the launch date to counter the PS3's 80gb as PS3's are beating xbox sales as of last month. This unit will have the 65nm CPU AND GPU, which uses less energy (heat reduction) and is more efficient.

I read somewhere that they will release an external blu-ray drive in the near future.
