The ones to get first are SPICE 1, 187 HE WROTE and AMERIKKKA'S NIGHTMARE. Classic songs from beginning to end on all three CDs! As for Spice's other CDs since, let me use an Ice Cube analogy, if I could (I know this is a Bay board, but work with me on this one):
Remember WAR and PEACE? IMHO, there were SOME classic songs on both CDs that were as good as anything from Cube's prime period ("Ghetto Vet","3 Strikes You In", "Greed", "Extradition", "Hello", "Record Company Pimpin'", "Gutter Shit", to name a few), but there were other songs on both CDs that I heard and I thought to myself, "what the fuck? Cube can do better than THIS!" Those average-to-wack (for Cube) songs made both WAR and PEACE good, but not great.
That's basically what I thought about Spice's CDs from 1995 and on: there's enough classics on all five CDs to make them worth it for fans, but the wack-to-just-okay songs keep those CDs from being the classics that the first three were.
SPICE 1, 187 HE WROTE and AMERIKKKA'S NIGHTMARE--10/10
1990-SICK--8/10
BLACK BOSSALINI--7/10
IMMORTALIZED--7.5/10
LAST DANCE--6.5/10
SPICEBERG SLIM--7/10
Just my opinion, though...
PEACE!
