How do you know what I have and what I can and can't afford?
Look...It's an opinion. And my opinion is that MTX sucks...what's wrong with that? You like MTX and think it's a clean sounding system. Good for you! If you have all this money...you should have spent it elsewhere. Besides...quality speakers are far more important.
I've posted pics before...if you do a search you may be able to find 'em. My old set-up was 2 Eclipse Ti 12's and an Orion 2500D. Check the retail on those and tell me if I couldn't afford your MTX's.
I'll post new pics in about a week. I'm completely re-doing my whole set-up. Some real nice speakers...throwing in only 1 sub to go along though...I'm gettin' too old.
Then I'll come back and hate on your MTX's again.....

lol...apparantly you've never heard the Eclipse Ti's in person, or you wouldn't be shrugging them off like that. I would put those up against just about any sub out there...and I have. And I notice you didn't try to clown on the Orion...wonder why that is.

funny thins is I told u to lay off the nuts and obviously ur still on em...i know what my subs can and can't do....so if u seriouly are doubting that my shit don't hit..then put your money where ur mouth is...u live in Santa Clara i live in San Jose...we'll see who hits a higher SPL...so if u ain't gonna step up then i don't see the point of continuing this..lol

Go back and read what I originally said...it's easy to make a car loud. Back when I was competing...that's what I did. But can you make it sound nice? There is more to car audio than boom, boom, boom and hittin' 160db.
My whole point was that MTX is lacking in SQ...maybe I was little harsh when I said they suck, but I still wouldn't buy them.
As for who would hit harder...I don't know. If you have more than 1 sub...which you probably do...it would probably be you.
But I'm not into that anymore...I've been there, done that. I'm 28 with a family now. My car isn't set up for that...and my money is spent on some high quality speakers...I want to enjoy my music now.

i have heard mtx subs... other than those slegehammer thing, they werent anything special. those eclipses fuckin bump, and do not lag on faster music. sq is nice, but the music i listen to it really doesnt matter. if i listened to rock or techno, i might think about sq. i just like loud. but when i get some money ima get some high quality shit with good sq too.
I was the same way when I was younger...only thing I cared about was being louder than the next man.
As I got older...it just didn't seem as important. Now, I listen to just about everything...and I really want to make the music as enjoyable as possible. It's amazing how much you can actually hear when you have some nice speakers.
It still bugs me a little though when someone pulls up next to me and they're louder than I am...I don't know if that will ever change.
