was he out of scheme when he got toasted (then spit on) in atlanta...

he was never a serviceable CB by any means.....he was the Mike Vick of CBs....he made big plays (returns for tds mostly)....

coverage and DHall dont belong in the same sentence....period

LOL... I guess that's why he keeps getting these fat contracts huh... obviously he played pretty good in the Redskins' scheme or they wouldn't have given him a $50+ million dollar contract. As soon as free agency began he was signed.... so go figure and learn the game of football.

thats an average contract these last couple of FA years....there isnt many DBs this year....same reason the raiders slightly overpaid Javon Walker and Tommy Kelly....the postions were thin and more then a few teams had a need at the spot....like chree said its simple supply and demand...YOU gotta figure that out!!

go ahead and act like it makes a difference what you say next time....but the numbers DONT lie...he is a terrible corner and a HAS BEEN before he was on the raiders

In order for the Skins to keep up or surpass the rest of the teams in the East , they have to do some crazy shit. I understand the Haynesworth deal, if he don't take plays off, but the Hall deal is a stretch. They must see something I don't.

Haynesworth's 'real' deal likely four years, $48M

Like we've said time and again when it comes to these big-money contracts, the number that gets reported carries a lot of fluff aimed at making the deal look better, presumably to help the agent leverage the transaction into attracting further clients.

In the case of the contract signed on Friday by defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth with the Redskins, the headlines regarding a seven-year, $100 million deal with a maximum value of $115 million sound a lot better than something like, say, four years and $48 million.

But Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that, in reality, the contract is worth $48 million over four years.

In the fifth year of the deal, Haynesworth is due to receive a whopping $29 million in salary and bonuses. And since he'll be 32 when the 2013 season begins, the Redskins likely won't pay those amounts.

Still, $41 million of the $48 million is genuinely guaranteed, which is the true significance of the contract. Moving forward, look for a greater percentage of the actual base value of these contracts to represent guaranteed money.

I agree with you a little but our D-line was often hurting, it seemed like they couldn't create pressure and turnovers, but other than that our linebackers and secondary were pretty solid. Your correct with our receiving corps cuz those fools weren't doing anything spectacular, other than Santana and Cooley. So with that being said we're in need of a solid chain mover, but hopefully youngsters Malcolm Kelly and Devin Thomas step it up this upcoming season! Jason Campbell was pretty bad down the stretch but our O-line didn't give him much time to throw, forcing opposing defenses to rack up sacks and clearing him out the pocket and make bad decisions.... If Campbell starts off bad the 1st 2 or 3 games I say send JC to the bench and start Colt Brennan IMO.
Campbell definitely wasn't his sharpest but it was more his offensive line play then anything. Not only did they stop pass blocking effectively but run blocking also slowed. Derrick Dockery was a nice sign.

I AGREE THAT HE SUCKED.. BUT THAT WAS MOSTLY BECAUSE HE WAS OUT OF SCHEME..
This must have been true because he was very solid when he came over to the Skins immediately, even picked off a few balls. Good thing about Hall being with the Redskins is this was his favorite team before he even got to the pro's and he has ties to the area. So he's happy.

Well the Skins wasn't really that far from Eagles (beat them twice) or Cowboys (split games), they did however have trouble with the Giants. I still would think the Giants would have the best team, however with them losing their D coordinator it kinda evens things out. Year to year it all depends on the play off the offense and Jason Campbell. With the NFL these days, there aren't any teams that can't be beat, you just gotta get hot at the right time and be healthy enough.

Boy the Redskins defense better not get run on. That is scratch so good luck to the Redskins. Looks like D. Hall isn't that bad of a corner huh..... I didn't think he was playing all that bad when he was with the Raiders.
Deangelo Hall was GARBAGE in Oakland.. man I had high hopes for our CBs and dude jus flat out sucked.. every game.... Thats the redskins problem now.. they wanna over pay then go for it =].... I like what we have in Aso and CJ better anyway..
