For the record lil boy I love Short Dog, as a matter of fact I got a quote from Short for you too...How can you talk about me and call me weak, when ya father smokes coke and ya mothers a freak, so I keep on rappin if nuthin else, so say ya jealous ass thoughts to yaself...Biiitch!! All you bastards got the clap, and fuck you punk cuz you still cant rap!!!
Who the hell is a lil boy or a rapper???? And why would I be jealous of you(someone who has been clowned by a ton people in one thread)?
You're right. 40 fell off. That's why he owns the hottest nightclub in northern cali, and had an article in King magazine about it. That's why he's now signed with the hottest artist/producer of the last 2 years. And that's why he's signed as an artist, and didn't sign a label deal with BME, so he can still release his other projects through Navarre. Because he's not a boss. He doesn't know what he's doing.

You have NO CLUE what you are talking about. Just go away before 15 more people find this thread and clown you too.

I don't hate on 40 water for making his paper, but my honest opinion - E40's music was never tight. He made a few slumpers along the way, but as a whole he was slackin. I guess that weird sounding flobulating turf turmoil type game he leeks just doesn't appeal to me.
Obviously it appeals to the whole damn industry... if it wasn't for 40 and other OG bay rappers, muthafuckas would still be spittin about gay shit... 40 fed the game with with GAME and flows and ideas and shit...

And who are yall to say his shit was 'ight'? Obviously the nation thinks he still is the 'ambassador' of the yay... I am assuming the industry gave him that title after hearing his flows about how niggas be eatin off the bay.

But folks talkin about how hes washed up and shit... would lil john be tryna share doe, would he be on MTV tryna advertise 'hyphy', would he be spittin freestyles on BET, fuckin with Kayslay (i dont give a fuk if you think hes weak.. its big either way)...

Y are yall mad? hatin casue an OG is FINALLY comin up commercial? Would you be happy if he moved back to the fukin slums ya haters? he paid his fukin dues. Thats my honest opinion...

I dont care what any of you say E 40 fell off and anybody who think e 40 got thrown a lot of paper is ignorant to the business. E 40 is only hot to The Bay and select cities in the midwest. E-40 really aint been hot since In a Major Way and Hall of Game, thats when he was getting plaques and money and was at his prime. Now I respect 40 but he fell off simple as that, it happens to the best of us. And as for me being hot please believe I'm a BAD bitch! Spice 1 is better than 40 anyday.

HAVE YOU SEEN 40'S CRIB ? HE GETTING HIS CHIPS AND THERES MONEY INVOLVED ONE WAY OR THE OTHER OR ELSE HE WOULDNT EVEN MAKE THIS MOVE COME ON KEEP IT REAL SPICE ONE IS A PIONEER IN THE RAP GAME PERIOD BUT SHOULDN'T YOU BE MAKIN A THREAD TITLED "WOW ! SPICE ONE FELL OFF" AND I DONT GIVE A SHIT IF YOUR A BAD BITCH OR HOW HOTT YOU ARE I'LL STILL BUY A BOTTLE AND DISCUSS THIS OVER SOME DRINKS WITH YOU!!!!

If owning over 10 homes(one which is worth over 6mil), 5 Fatburger franchises, a nightclub, countless other business ventures and having over 8 figures in my bank account is falling off............then I'm jumpin off of a cliff.....! Please don't think you know about what the man is doing, cause you don't and I don't and I'm pretty close to him. You only see what you think you see(via MTV,BET,magazines, etc). Don't be so shallow, Hal gal.......Open your mental parameters, cause the world is bigger than what you think it is, obviously with comments like this thread here. Shheeeesh.. Take Care and All tha best to you and yours, Ms.MafiaQueen.

When I said fell off I didnt mean in terms of he's broke. I know 40 is waaay sharper than that but he fell off in terms of record sells, popularity, and demand. Maybe its not his fault because the record industry is very fical and trust me I worked as an intern at Virgin for a year so I know the inner workings of the industry. Personally I'm sure 40 is way cool and "8 figures is stretching it" but professionally his career has suffered. I'm sure he would say the same thing. I mean its simple mathmatics if you go from selling platinum to now doing 2-300000 units...you fell off. I love 40 and hope he comes back up.

40 didn't fall off, Jive didn't push his albums. He couldn't compete with Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and the other pop stars that were on the label. Going with Lil Jon is one of the best things that he could've done. Being that Lyor Cohen(former head of Def Jam) heads Warner Music Group now, what better place to be then with someone who understands how to make stars.

I was with 40 all this past weekend, and I must say that he gets better with time. After opening for numerous shows, and booking him for numerous shows, I must say that he has improved, and is still working hard to elevate his game.

He still has Sick Wid It and has projects in the works, but why not go with an artists label that is doing 400,000 in first week sales? This is a good move for 40, and I think that it will be a breath of fresh air for his career. That is if Warner does what they need to do.

Yup. PROMOTION is a VERY important factor in CD sales. You could have the dopest CD of your career, but if it's not promoted right, not enough people will know about it being out there, which consequently means fewer sales...I've read interviews not only w/ 40, but also w/ B-Legit, Spice 1, and KRS-One (not Bay, but he was w/ Jive as well) and all of them basically said (in so many words) that Jive stopped giving a shit about Rap in general once Britney and the boy-band thing jumped off in the late '90s. Hopefully, 40 will be in a situation where he can get the promo he deserves.

PEACE!

I was with 40 this past weekend as well as cool nutz and dude getting better with time to me as well. Dude spittin way before his time. as far as selling out to lil jon its just business its still Sick Wid It-BME-WARRNER BROS WITH LYOR COHEN running business. This will be 1 of the 1st major artist lyor is going to be doing at wb and im sure he wants to prove what he can do. AS far as other sick wid it releases they will be with navare for distribution. The only thing i can think to say is before you talk about it know about it.
