Compared to the last few years, id say YES.

Look at the albums that have dropped this year.And im talkin mainstream shit.Alot of good stuff,IMO.

i think it was a good year with cd's from banks,game,cube, and clipse and e-40 and jeezy id say it was better than 2005.

man i love hip hop, i listen to it all my life but i jus hate all the new shit thats comin out recently. i would say what i dont like about it but there is nothin i do like about it so id be here all day. i cant name one album i seen that id think about pickin up

I think 2002 wasn't much better than 2006, 2005, 2004 or 2003, the last relatively good year was 1999

Same here. But you have to get over it because I dont think we will EVER see the quality AND quantity from these days.

I wouldnt say it was a good year for me. Fortunately I havent bought too many CD's. The few I did buy, I wish I could get my money back on most of em. Although me actually picking up a Tech N9ne CD was a good wrap to end the year.

I'll go against the grain and say yeah it was a good year....... There's nothing this year I'd call a classic, but I got a lot of albums that I thoroughly enjoyed and only a few I though were bullshit.
