Mark 7:27 But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.

We gentiles are referred to as dogs sometimes, Jews First, Gentiles Second. It was to appeal to the Jews first, then Gentiles Second. Since she was a Gentile, sometimes Gentiles were referred to Animals.

Remember when Peter was talking about eating unclean animals, God said you do not call those which I call clean Unclean, he was referring to the Gentiles.
