Would E-40 be as big as he is today WITHOUT Rick Rock?

True. I think 40's shit was tighter back in those days. It's tight now too but his old shit was classic.
Yeah, if you're talking in terms of MUSIC alone, I agree, although the funny thing is, when CHARLIE HUSTLE and LOYALTY & BETRAYAL came out, I wasn't feeling them too much. But today, I listen to them and they sound better now than they did when they came out...go figure.

As far as whether 40's bigger now than in the mid-1990s' (in terms of popularity), I honestly couldn't say...like most Bay cats, he isn't big enough. But that's the Northeast radio and video programmers for you--anything not from New York, New Jersey, D.C. or (maybe) Philly is "soft" to them, so whaddya gonna do? LOL!

PEACE!

I thought we were talking about the rap game involving 40 and Rick Rock. I didn't know we were on the subject of why things happen and how the community is doing. :cheeky:
