plies got stupid heat...yall must not of heard his drama mixtape or really listened to his whole album " the real testament" he got undenyable flow. Rick Ross is the hottest nigga out right now wit the hottest album out on the shelf "trilla" and 2 dope ass singles on billboard. As for TI...he's been one of the most successful rappers of this decade and got one of the dopest flows in the game hands down. Yall are just stuck on bay music n don't wanna hear nuthin else. Hella ignorant.
your the ignorant one if u think a radio rapper like Rick Rock or Plies could come anywhere near rappin circles around a lyricist like Locksmith or even a youngsta like Taj-He-Spitz. if your just referring to makin radio songs and gettin mainstream appeal, then thats a whole other story, dont say rappin circles tho
Yeah rick ross isnt dope. Most of those south rappers got simple ass flows and rhyme game with name with same etc. I agree with what someone said though most of the shit comign out the bay these days is wack and he listens to most of the old school bay shit . Dont get me wrong the bay is m homesoil and home to the greatest rap ever but its getting stale. As a whole. There still is that handful of dope og artist a couple new ones that put out some fire albums IMo which keeps me hanging on to listen to almost strictly bay shit on my ipod in the whip. Its doper to me than any other region more street cred better flows newer more stylish slang and trends, the hwole ball of wax. There is just alot of flooding and even A FEW of the old artists are kind of falling into a stale trap. Point blank like mac dre said " any yougn men from the bay are who can rap we need you to step it up to your full capabiltites right now and if you cant then get the fuck out the way so SOME REAL MEN CAN DO IT." pass the ball to the niggas people actually like and the young ones who are dope and original keep doin it, your catching on.
The south aint got shit on the aby never has IMo, they do make more radio hits and money probably but as far as music IMO goes. NATHEN. I do think a couple are ok Like TI and Lil Wayne. But they have never had shit on the heavy hitters from the bay, Quinn 40 Mac Dre Messy J diggs Coolio FAB Bailey Yuk Richie Rich Dru Down B Legit PSD Jacka Husalah Rydah Keak. Even though some of those listed arent that relevant in bay shit right now, nobodys ever had shit one em as far as straight rapping goes.
