All week long, people have been asking me, "How, in this day and age, did Tiger ever think he could get away with it?'
Maybe the answer is, "What makes you think he was thinking?"
He's a professional athlete. He plays golf. That's all he's ever had to think about. Off the course, other people do his thinking for him.
And now they will think his way out of this mess for him, and be paid handsomely for doing it.
And all this talk about Tiger needing to "come clean"? Let's be honest, there is no way he could sit down with Oprah and answer a single question to the public's Victorian satisfaction.
The only person Tiger Woods owes an apology to is his wife.
I remember when one of our Assembly members got caught fooling around. His wife raised unholy hell with him.
She said, there's only one way I'm going to stay with you: You quit public office. And that idiot quit.
Six months later, she left him!
