Rough Sailing Euthazined
The Breeders' Cup was marked by tragedy on Saturday, as Rough Sailing had to be euthanized after falling during the $1 million Juvenile Turf race.
The chestnut, and son of Mizzen Mast, fractured his right foreleg during the fall that sent jockey Rosie Napravnik tumbling the the ground. Rough Sailing got back up and continued to run while Napravnik managed to escape without injury.
The 2-year-old colt had one win in three career starts.

im not sure how they determine if a horse is "saveable" or not but i was surprised to see they had to put him down. i didnt even see a noticeable limp live he seemed to trot off just fine...
