will you still check for Ya Boy if he doesnt make it in L.A.? serious. i was never really a big fan of this guy. all i know of him is hes supposely from fillmore SF, thats it. i never heard of him until Rookie of the Year dropped. when did this guy get the strips to expand his horizons to L.A. all of the sudden doing all this jicky jerkin shit? is this suppose to take him to the next level??? man, i feel he didnt even put enough effort to get the bay on his back yet to even do any kind of expansion. now that hes out there without any credit that is due from the bay area rap scene-if he doesnt make it and tries to come back, i REALLY wont check for this guy.

regardless of where hes at hes still dope...personally i think it aint were you from its where you at and if you cant make too many moves on the home front then you gotta try somewhere else. dude is dope and thats reason enough to check him out.

im not buying anymore ya boy mixtapes, last cd i bought of his was chapter 1 the rise, but when his album drops ill support it wether he blows or not.

anyone that says theyll only support him if he blows up in LA, is a bandwagon groupie.

i dont give a fuck if he lives in North Korea. I listen to music and my ears don't dictate if something sounds bad by the artists location.

That Jerkin song sucks to me, but I know YB is just capitalizing on something that is/about to be a big craze. but for the most part his music is pretty solid.

There are so many misconceptions on Ya Boy and what's he has done so far. Ya Boy is in LA because of his uncle Phat Rat. Phat Rat took him away from Quinn and Done Deal and brought him to LA, gave him 1 million dollars to start up Precise Music Group. Ya Boy has made all the right connections in my opinion. If he would have stayed in the BAY, his fan base wouldn't be anywhere close to what it is now. He DOESN'T NEED THE BAY ON HIS BACK. That was never the line he was pushing. If he flops in LA and tries to come bay to the Yay, he will have problems, but in the end it should be about quality of music.

No way in hell should ANYONE believe that Ya Boy was given a million dollars. To do what, make a bunch of mix tapes? To put zero projects out? I will support him when he drops an album, but if that's the story they tellin, I'm not buying it.

These ain't my words, this is coming from Ya Boy's mouth. I would like to think that YB ain't a bold face ass lie. And the million wasn't to "drop a bunch of mixtapes," it was to start Precise Music Group, which has 4 or 5 other artists signed to it. Check this out....

Where did Phat Rat get a Million to just pass on? I don't buy into all this stuff Ya Boy was talking. From all we heard: He ditched Quinn to go to LA and do nothing. He's lying to himself if he thinks Interscope will sign him. I liked Chapter 1, but everything else has been waaay too repetitive.
