So there have been several haters saying "Hyphy" is just a fad...But I was just thinking about the ATL...I'm up late night watching VH1 Classic and I see a TLC "Ain't To proud to Beg" Video...n Realizing how long it took ATL to be on top...That shit dint happen overnight...This Bay Movement aint gonna happen overnight...Jus look at how Outkast got "Boo'd" at the Source Awards...Shit I bet yall dint know Lil Jon made them Beats on the So So Def Bass All Stars Cd.

Too all the haters keep talkin sh#t while the Bay Gonna Keep Hustlin"

That aint the same. TLC could of blew up ATL then if they was reppin it but
you know they wasnt even on that back then. 2nd, TLC and Outcast wasnt
workin on no movement, they were makin plain good music. As 4 lil jon, when
he did that he wasnt pushin crunk, just good music. My point is hyphy is a
fad and they didnt wait 2 blow off a fad they just made good music.

Huh? What you mean it took a while for ATL to blow up? They've always been big. Jermain Dupris, TLC, Kriss Kross, Da Brat even tho she moved there form Chicago she repped ATL too, Dallas Austin, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc. Also Outkast dropped in 93 and took off. Who cares that they got booed that dont mean shit. They've gone platinum every time. Atlanta is more than just "Crunk" they have so many styles that have made it. Not to mention their shit sounds alot better than this annoying hyphy techno beats like 18 dummy.

Good point, but I think that you'd have to agree that the hyphy music was there before the movement was. It was the music combined with the spirit of the Bay that made people notice and turned it into a movement. I'm not saying that it's not a fad, but I don't think it is. If people make shit others can gig too it will be here for a while...

Man...From 88'-91' I dint take notice to any ATL artists...that shit was dominated by NY ...THEN Cali with NWA, MC Hammer, I mean La Face records and JD put out artists..but they werent as dominant and running shit like Death Row Was...or Bad Boy was in the early 90's ....dont take it tha wrong way...Im not dissing atl at all and shit...its just that...people are already knocking the bay...and saying tha bay aint shit...jus when only til recently we only had a couple of videos to get some airplay and shit...Stop dissin the bay..

mac dre never got any recognition for making good music and i cant find any one that listens to rap and doesnt feel the mac at one point or another and he was in the game for a decade never went national. So its just how you put ur music out there

YES THIS HYPHY SHIT WILL GET ANNOYING AT TIMES, BUT OTHERS ARE LOOKING AT AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE RECOGNIZED. ITS A MATTER OF TIME UNTIL ALL DOORS ARE OPEN. Then why is your scrooge sounding ass on a Bay forum? You never have anything postivite to say about the Bay. It's becuase of haters like this in our own communities that are holding the Bay back. You should be ashamed of yourself.
