CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THE FUCK DOES SOMEONE HAVE 10 -20 FEATURES ON THEIR OWN ALBUM FOR. ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S THEIR FIRST ALBUM. WHAT THE FUCK? I KNOW NIGGAS TRYNA SELL THEY SHIT..BUT THAT DON'T EVEN WORK ANYMORE. NIGGAS GOTTA CREATE A BUZZ. NOT CREATE A BIG ASS CIRCUS ON THEY ALBUM. IF YOU GOT YOUR OWN STYLE..SO FAR FROM ANYBODY ELSE OUT HERE THEN YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO HOLD DOWN YOUR WHOLE ALBUM TO THE FACE. UNLESS..LIKE BACK IN THE DAY WHERE THERE WAS THIS ONE SONG AND IT JUST WOULDN'T BE THE SAME WITHOUT GETTING THAT ONE CAT ON THERE. I UNDERSTAND THOSE..BUT NOT EVERY DAMB CUT ON YA RECORD GOTTA HAVE SOME OLE OTHER NIGGA ON THERE JUST BECAUSE.
STOP...THINK ABOUT IT!

ADmit it tho you wouldnt cop just any album out there, if it has established artists on it then already it seems established, and the consumer is sittin there wondering why they havent heard of this dude cause he got so many features. I agree some people need to relize the difference between a solo project and a solo/compliation, but dont hate cuz they are making moves

Exactly. Muthafuckaz tellin me it's wrong to drop a solo album with no features. FUCKAFEATURE!! Everybody that has all these features, and pay money for all these features, don't sell shit anyway. You can have 1, maybe 2 features on an album...but all them cats on the same project is just stupid to me!!

Not to mention, 9 out of 10 features drop half assed verses...so what's the use?

I hate when I write or speak about somethin that needs to be adressed & some ole cat always saying someone's hating. fuck the word hating. Plus-Dewalt that ain't making moves that's 1. a nigga too lazy to write 32 more bars 2. a nigga spending his money on features instead of promotion. and 3. a nigga not confident in himself/herself to try n hold down an album to the face. That's it. I should name my album FUCK FEATURES. and feature me, myself and I on the REmix.

If its good product is doesnt matter... When the music is compromised then there is a problem... Your ears are the judge... If the Project Producer knows what there doing it should all mix well.

Yea, that's a good point, if the album knocks, it really DOESN'T matter. HOWEVER, all these albums with the same 20 features, DON'T KNOCK, at least not all the way through. People need to start standin' on their own feet, or sit down. Some of my boys are givin me shit about not having features on our upcoming group album...but we're confident enough that we believe, WE ARE THE FEATURES. If people don't wanna buy your album cause they want to hear features, they need to not buy your album, PERIOD!! They need to go buy 20 albums that those features put out instead.

i see alotta good points. personally i think that my project should feature everyone within my click, and maybe one or two other artists. but then again, it shouldn't matter as long as the product is good.

People get all them damn features because they weak asses need them to make them look decent at best...thats the damn problem wit rap today to many people tryin to make shit happen on the next niggas name.

But if that were soley the case,why would they be gettin features from kats who've sold only 2500 units.
The whole feature thing has ruined alot of albums to me.That's why I choose to pick up an album like the Roze Boyz,or Vital(Dudes I never heard of) than pick up everones new catch phrase for idiotic consumers...."Doodle Dandy presents(Neato)":Garbage Rapper ft. Every Rapper who has 5 albums and has'nt sold 2500 copies!!!
Now it's even worse because you have to sift through rappers who only get features because they want to groupie up with some killerz,so they can tell all their suburb homies they know Dr.Death and the 187 Krew.They fail to mention that they spent 500$ on a wack feature,and bucked up zip for fear of getting their studio gear stolen.The Game is Tainted.Solo's are extinct.

At one point, it was a great idea....
But muthafuckas abused the game puttin big name features over wack ass beats.
What kind of shit is that?

As a matter of fact, I like albums with little or no features.
Muthafuckas be turnin albums into comps now days LOL!
