your right about that i know about san quinn and i been a fan since i was in high school Master P helped a lot of bay artist get known thru his compilations and so forth i found out about quinn thru jt tha bigga figga i also heard he performed down here in pacific beach to but he should of came downtown or tijuana 20 minutes away to perform.the people in that area dont listen to bay area music that much its a bunch of surfers and college students from out of town.. so most of his audience probably wasn't from so cal e-40 and too short always come to daygo. They had a concert down here wit tha hoodstarz and keak tha sneak about a month ago and it was poppin.I also think he should fuck wit some la producers i think his style fits the so cal sound better..

^^i feel u BUT u said they "were" on bay shyt from 04 to 06..that was almost 3 years ago...alot has changed...and our music has been da same..so what happened?..if u go to LA alot of people still dont know who mac dre is and san quinn and all these other big name rappers from up here..its not like were wack its cuz LA is on that gangster shyt and our music is about pimpin hoes,purp,pills,flashy lifestyle,etc...wayy differen't then LA music...so yea it dont matter about soundscan cuz obviously the big name artists r gonna sell everywhere regardless of location..i dont think u can name any rapper out there that has had any good soundscan numbers here in the bay in the last 5 years besides ur usual snoop, game, etc...i dont know if i made sense its 2 in da mornin but yea i hope u get what im trying to say...

Trust me everybody out here in LA knows who mac dre is. I only said 04 to 06 to emphasize when it really blew up out here. Dont get it twisted tho they still on the bay it just aint no music reachin out here for them to fuck wit. When I said you'd be surprised by the soundscan I meant you'd be surprised by how much the bay supports LA rappers. Yeah they may be mainstream artist but they still sell more albums in the bay then any rapper in the bay including 40. That speaks volumes to me.

With or without promotion, quinn will still do the same numbers. Quinn need to take things in his own hands, instead of waiting for some label to help him. Quinn raps about hustling and all that, but he's not a hustler...He's an employee, and always will be. Perfect example...Messy marv been doing his thang with no major support. Dude be getting out and doing his thangs all over the country, and he sells. I can go on and on, but bottom line is that he will never sell over 20,000-25,000 cds//////ever

^^ yea i feel u on how our music aint reachin the fans out there..i dont blame anybody but the artists for that...how do u expect anybody to know who u are if u aint gonna push ur music....yea i know snoop game sell records in the bay waaaaay more then e4o too short..but im just tryin to say that LA music is different cuz of the lifestyle in LA and alot of folks dont bump LA music out here unless its snoop,game,and even crooked it if u know wussup..my question is will bay area artists ever sell records in LA like LA artists sell records up here...1

^^ damn u really dont think quinn can sell more then 25,000 copies? thats kinda far fetched...i could be wrong but i think the rock sold atleast 40 to 50 thousand copies..but ur right he aint a truse hustler like jacka mess yuk etc....so with that bein said hes gonna have trouble sellin but if he did push his shyt then i think he could EASILY sell 50,000 copies..i mean why not his shyts raw az fuck...

i think the different styles don't affect anything, Southern Ca will bump anything if it's good

i don't think an artist can sell records regardless, just because he is on a major label,

^^^I mean quinn is a good rapper. He just needs to get out there beyond frisco and do sumn. I mean dude is bay vet, but that doesn't mean anything when it comes to selling records and making yourself marketable. Quinn lets everybody makes decisions for him instead of stepping out on his own.

yeah its dissapointing but i dont think the promo was done right and having a single like wind it up being realesed a year and a half ago sure didnt help im sure that dood is pissed off
