i noticed that whenever there is a hit, or was a hit, bay rappers ar waaayy to late to put out a video and push the song. if you have a hit , shouldnt you make a video fast and push it??? just remembering san quinn- hell yeah came way after the hype of the song, also keak- super hyphy video came after the hype, i just read keak shot a video for "that go" lol, wtf is that going to do, the song is past now..

also, i think now is a good time for jacka to have a video for all over me.

because they need the money to make a video
my guess would be they put out the album, make the money, then make the video.
they need to learn from Richie Rich and get some property so they can stay breaded between albums hah

Very true, I think it really is a financial issue tho.

Most of the artist in the Bay are independent & won't have the money till the hype of the song. & even sometimes when u do have money backin u, majors/investors don't wanna make the video till they KNOW its a 4 sure a hit.

Most artist wih videos don't pay for them up front like Bay artist. They have Major backing, marketing teams, ect. I give the Bay artist credit for even trying to put something out on there own, no radio love and no label pushing the product.

A video that doesn't get pass youtube or Mtv jams is just like not having a video at all....."Don't Spill It"-FAB, "Ugghh Remix"-Hoodstarz, "What You Want"-Frontline, "From the Hood- Traxamillion", and countless other very professional quality videos out the bay that got no mainstream love....Why even Bother????

yeah i can agree wit that cuz most of the now popular south artist have been out wit slaps for a while and there videos have been seen but mostly locally and when it gets to the mainstream its all new so its whatever..

but a lot of people are on point the financial side of bay area artist might not be up to par to make a good video..but i respect the independent grind i think its also about jus gettin ur name out there and makin hits cuz most songs are straight slaps and it wont matter if tlhere was a video

Bay Videos are boring to me right now. I remember the excitement on siccness when E-40's Tell me when to Go was coming out. Actually bay music is boring right now. Even E-40's Turf Drop never got any play.
