Peete you really came off track with that last post.

I think what you are failing to state is that by 'criminals' you mean people who intentionally commit crimes that wound others in the process with little or no regard to the victims.

This is where many peoples problem lies with the idea of 'no snitching'...that people willfully disregard the rights of others and then expect no one to 'snitch' on them for it.

Correct. That was on purpose. I intentionally used an inflammatory word like "criminals" to see how many people would bypass discussing the thread topic for a debate on what a "criminal" really is. I was expecting the whole "what about the police" or "what about the government" discussion but it never got that far. Ah well...

You know how it is sometimes, you're talking to somebody and they stop listening once they hear you say something they want to respond to and miss out on the rest of the shit you have to say because they just HAVE to respond to that one thing.

Same thing happens when communicating online. People don't read the whole message a lot of the time. They stop really reading once they feel compelled to reply to something or when they get to a part that they don't like.

this what i always say

i'm not impressed by gangsters...i dont feel i have to surround myself with tough guys to be okay in life
i'm much more impressed by good people...and i do feel i have to surround myself with good people to be okay in life

that's the difference between being a man and a child
i feel ya....to make one good choice in ya life is way better than to follow the crowd

id rather be around someone who stands up for what THEY believe is right an willin to fight for that shit than some punk dumass followin some shit

Thats not ignorant at all!

I mean, its not like you cant go to school for 4 years, get an education and quite possibly start your own business and make money....or become a lawyer, a doctor, ect....all this can be done BEFORE your 30.

You can rob someone in one night, and end up getting shot in the back after you try to flee the scene.

I swear, some of you have more excuses than a politician. Grow the fuck up.

im a criminal

and its not because im gangster or because i think im a bad ass or because i think its going to get me ahead in life, or that i was even devoid of role models or a good support system growing up, or even that i dont have a good job! its just something i choose to do.

and i can admit to that.

i only follow laws when i feel in my heart, that law is worth following

crime is fun for some people, i mean have you ever robbed someone/some place? or felt the adrenaline rush running from police cars and a helicopter in the far background? some people are addicted to crime, and thats just life

we have been obsessed with "bad guys" before rap music....its in every comic, movie plot, shady vh-1 documentary, cartoon, animated movie, and anything else you can think of before we all decided to look at criminals as cool in rap.

i think the big difference between what most people are talking about in this thread is the idea of a "good" criminal and a "bad" criminal. it seems to me the people that are "hating" on criminals that dont give a fuck about anyone else but themselves and hurt others in the process of their "wrongdoing." "Good" criminals, that some on here seem to connect with or sympathize with are the "criminals" who have to do what they got to do to survive, in one way or another, and not harming people in the way. i smoke weed, thats "criminal" activity, right? OH, but im not hurting anyone so its not so bad? so, what people need to agree on is if "criminal" and the "law" is a catch-all for "bad activity" or if there are differing contexts of crime and if theres a good/bad. basically, i dont think undocumented immigrants are "criminals."
