I don't think the West Coast is dead, it'll never die we got to many talent comin from Cali and in the Bay!
Truthfully, the Bay got to many haters here with complexes, thinkin they the next big Emcee out the Bay! Alot of fools here say they support Bay artist when they only support the Bay artist that they Know, or they support only the Bay music they put out! For an example Baby Beesh is from Vallejo Cali/Bay, and the Cali/Bay didn't embrace him with open arms like they should have, again too many fools with complexes, It took him to move to another State (Texas) to blow up! Texas heard this cat Baby Beesh and embraced him and welcomed him into the Hip-Hop Sceen! And they LOVE him, he's platnium status, and now that he is, fools from his own state hate on him, some fools says he sold out! "....Ooh Beesh forgot were he came from!" ........Muthafucka Please! Too Many Haterz! We need to come together and support Bay and Cali artist (The one's that actually have talent), fuck Downloadin on the internet, and purchase a fuckin CD!
Like me, check this, I can post a thread on here and say "New Artist from Vallejo album droopin soon The Spirit Of Pain named Soldier Hard" and if you aint a big name emcee or you aint someone they know! Or never heard of you! Forget about it! Cali/Bay supporters my fuckin gludious! They wouldn't even go out there way to even take a peek! Bogus fam, but thats just the way it is! Thats what I was gonna say. Westside connects album flopped, Death Rown ain't done shit in years adn none of the artists signed to aftermath ever seem to drop anything.
The underground is definatly crackin though, You got them cats from Dago doin it real big down there getting heads bangin then you got the bay on the rise as well. They just need to tone it down for the radio a little bit to get some mainstream radio play and it will be on.
the west coast is not dead...i think its because we're not catering to that bullshit that the majors are pushin to the public...everybody wants to hear big names, and they wanna hear them rappin about money, bitches, cars, etc. on every song, and most of the west coast artists are not doin that shit, so we don't get the publicity that the other are gettin...
Ever since PAC got killed the industry then f*cked the westcoast (and hardcore rappers all over the country) up the azz with no vaseline. The record companies will not allow niggaz from the west who are not SNOOP, DRE or XZIBIT to blow up nationally cuz they don't want no more drama. The eastcoast still runs rap even if the south is superhot right now. ALL old rappers affiliated with PAC b4 he died sales have fallen hard.
