eminem was a fad, he was hot for a minute. what he established for white rappers was tore down by the white rapper show. Lets face it, rap IS black culture, always has been, probably always will be, at least to us who actually see the shit everyday these rappers talkin about

well, first off, he just went platinum in 2006 and it wasnt even a true eminem album. second, i thought i made it clear that i was not an eminem fan, i was just stating the facts, third thing is you really need to do ya homework on puerto rican rappers, like fat joe, big pun, tru life, NORE and about a million others in NYC and spread around the country. i never mentioned puerto rico, i mentioned puerto ricans. i didnt even mention all the other latinos in the rap game. or all the europeans, and japanese. this aint 1977 anymore. the whole world raps no matter what race they are.

theres a difference in real people from the streets. you can here threw these mothafuckas whos fake and whos real take haystack that mothafucker is hard is fuck! put him on the white rapper show and you couldnt put the other fags even inthe same room with that cat. some people can move you some people need a new hobby. In mainstream shit that show fucked over alot real cats. and thats a shame. cause i know some white mothafuckas who are blacker then keak da sneak could ever Be. I don't know. I'm gonna disagree with you guys about the average "white rapper" getting sent back 10 years aka the dark ages all because of this show. hah

Sure, that show is a complete mockery, and sure it didn't do us any favors.. But I personally think that the white rapper has never had a greater opportunity than now. Take it for what it's worth, but the industry is changing.. and people are getting tired of hearing the same damn thing over and over again. Last year's record sales completely reflects this. People want something new, different, fresh.. and I don't know how much longer the mainstream will be able to milk the gangsta image for before kids get completely tired of it.

Which is why now new opportunity is ripe the picking. Even for a white mc! But he's gonna have to stand out and be original. He won't succeed if he's a carbon copy of eminem.. He's gotta be doing his own thing.

You're absolutely RIGHT! But, always remember this...one of the biggest names in Hip-Hop (Russel Simmons), brought a white group into this "black culture" back in the 80's. It's nothing NEW, it's just different these days because people are so fuckin hardheaded. The Panthers was a black thing, too...but white folks got down with them if they wanted to, because there is no color boundary in the fight to make everybody equal.

Eminem is NOT a fad, either. Vanilla Ice was a fad, and Hammer was a fad. Eminem been around for 8 years strong and brought up one of the biggest heads in rap music today...and is part of the BIGGEST network of record labels in the world.

once again, yall need to do some homework. hip hop started in NYC and trust me many of the early pioneers in the rap game were non black. this includes rappers, dj's, graffitti artists, and break dancers. many of the best graf and breakers were puerto rican, latino and white.
and to imply that fat joe and nore who've been in the rap game damn near 20 years each are newjacks is downright wrong. blacks are not the only cats who live in the inner city my friend. one of the biggest rap icons and producers of all time is a guy by the name of rick reuben, maybe you've heard of him.

i was thinkin da same thing^^^ must be ome commercial show showcasing white rapper who appaently suck, but shit the radio does that all day for black rappers that suck so hey! it is what it is my6 question is to those who made thsstupid comments on this post are u telling me that if a dude was from say india and was hard as fuck u wouldn't fuck wit em because he doesn't know the hjarsh realities of life in the projects? lol if so damn we still have a long way to go as american's an a a nation especially as people who have lived thru this generation and watched hip hop / rap evolve. This kind of shit will be the death of hip hop and rap as it was jazz, and the blues.
