people are in high demand.. so the supply is as high if not higher. If people stopped buying jay's.. Nike/Jordan would have to drop prices. Its i guess our standard of living.

Uhhh....no. The theory of supply and demand states that the higher the demand the lower the supply. Because if supply was as high then the demand for the product would be met. But because supply for some of these shoes is limited then the demand is higher.
