why doesnt the individual who made all the beats for tupac get any credit?

It's kinda funny though....cause his last album to come out MAKAVELI....almost everyone song had a credit as being a different producer....I mean WTF....the HAIL MARY beat is CRAZY RIDICULOUS, but who the fuck did it....and where the fuck his he and what has he done latley...is he alive?....LOL....but I feel what u sayin dogg....pz
WTF? The producers are still doin' their thang. Daz, everybody knows what he's doin'. Johnny J just produced some shit for Tyrese's new album, and he produced a shitload of tracks from THUG LIFE up to All Eyez On Me!! Everything he produced for 'Pac was nothing less than GOLD!! Devante is still producin', I think Shock G still doin what he does. 2Pac did a lot of the co-production on MAKAVELI. The reason you don't hear a lot about the producers is because they are producers, they are BEHIND THE SCENES, that's what they do!! Dre got most of the credit for 2Pac's ALL EYEZ ON ME because he PRODUCED THE ALBUM!! Maybe that's why he got all the awards.
Y'all gotta remember, just cause you make beats doesn't mean you're a producer. Producers are cats like Dre, Timbaland, Diddy, J.D...the cats who put the finishing touches on shit, who mix the shit, who put everything TOGETHER. A person who makes beats is just a beat maker!! Maybe that's why a lot of cats who made beats for Pac aren't recognized...but the ones mentioned above are PRODUCERS!!

If a person makes a BEAT, that person is the producer of the BEAT, they produced that, which does not make them full blown producers. If you make a beat, it doesn't mean you produced the whole track, feel me? And there are so many stories about who produced what over @ Death Row so I'm not even gonna get into that conversation. Most HONEST people who were involved say Dre did the production...Daz said he produced DoggyStyle too. But, why would Dre take the chance with a newcomer like Daz? Either way, not gonna get into that.
If I go to a cats studio, and he makes me sick ass beats, but mixes my shit down and the song sounds like trash, I'm gonna label that cat a shitty producer. If you go to like, Expressions in Emeryville or Berklee School Of Music in Boston, they teach you how to be a music producer...HOWEVER, they don't teach you how to really MAKE BEATS, they teach you mixing and mastering techniques....SO TECHNICALLY, you are a producer if you do THAT!! I can make a milkshake, but does that make me a producer of food??? Should I start a fast food chain because I can make a hamburger patty? NO!! The shit has to taste right before I make a business out of it, feel me?

Oh, and another thing....producers should take charge of what is going on. Real Producers take charge of how vocals are laid out...they are supposed to direct the feel and atmosphere of the songs they are producing...If I don't come how I should on a track, my PRODUCERS tell me to change that shit...we have MANY TAKES in the studio, cause we work with PRODUCERS, not beat makers!!
Engineer, in music, believe it or not, is just a fancy name for PRODUCER that makes you feel warm and toasty along with important!! Engineer is a more professional name for producer. What do engineers do? In a nut shell, they Put shit together, basically...they make things work...my bro's bitches dad is an engineer @ Lockheed, all he really does, is design shit, he produces plans!!
Suge Knight is an Executive Producer, he is in charge of the projects, but I can guarantee you he has nothing to do with the hands on shit in the studio!! He executes everything, he makes things happen!!

I produced a shit in my bathroom, does that make me a producer of something? If you wanna be an anal ranger about it, then yes, I am a producer. But, my whole fuckin point is, in music, if you just MAKE BEATS, you are not a fuckin producer.
Think about this...ROCK BANDS go into studios, make music and lyrics, and they are just a band...but the people who arrange all their shit are the producers...who wins the awards for the production? Most of the times, it is NOT the band!! My whole point is AN ALL OUT MUSIC PRODUCER is not somebody who just makes beats.
