Everytime I talk about music with someone Lil Wayne always comes up as their favorite rapper. But why do people think BABY is his dad?

I mean if you claim you're a fan at least know that little bit of information. Just because they dropped an album titled Like Father, Like Son, doesn't make them related. His step dad died but he claims him as his father... and those tracks on Tha Block Is Hot are pretty deep IMO when he's talking about his step-pops.

I guess it comes as a shock to some but I just think it's annoying when people say they've been listening to Wayne since way back, when in reality they just hopped the bandwagon. :angry:

lol, I KNOW what you saying man. Everybody and their sister thinks they're blood related, but I keep tellin these fools it's more of a "Baby took Wayne under his wing" type deal. Im sure he's a father figure to him, but it aint blood.

I read a long time ago that when Wayne first started rappin, he was gettin in a lot of trouble, and the only way that his mom would let him continue is if Baby 'took him under his wing'. Eventually, Wayne's mom allowed Baby to get custody and take legal guardianship.

I read that in an interview straight from Wayne's mouth when the Hot Boys were first crackin.

I asked this because I seen the cover a magazine with baby having a little wayne tatoo on his chest!
