Its acutally pretty natural...

People always try to root for the person they identify closest to...

You might have 2 "black" people fighting, but one is from a different country..Americans(no matter the race) will most likely root for the black American because they identify closest to him(at least they think they do)...But if you put that black american up against a white american, black americans will more than likely root for the black american while white americans will root for the white american..other enthnic groups will root for whoever depending on their own personal biases and beliefs...those are just examples..this theory isnt perfect, but it does explain WHY we root for certain people even when we have no real interests in either fighter..

I try to make a conscious decison and say "may the best fighter win"..

Ima always root for the Asian, cuz of the way society views us. In highschool if folks was comin at somebody that I aint even know on that chingy chong ching type shiet I be down to jump in regardless. That's just the way it go with me.

i never got why people are so racist towards asian people. is it cause like asians dont speak up for themselves as much as a group? like you could call someone the n word at high school and the naacp has you expelled and its a national story within two hours, but call an asian like a chink or some other stupid word and the teacher might even laugh with you. same shit with natives

not just in schools either on comedy channels, seems like asians and retarded people are still getting clowned hard to this day

we aint got no kind of media presence really, our situation is like that with the natives and to some degree hispanics. Asians is looked at as a quiet subservient race, and in our community it's kinda like that. 1st generations generally aint trynna have their kids shamin the family or whatever but you look at the riots, the OGs was out there doin the damn thing.

you know asians refers to a very wide group of people right? I have a question specifically regarding Chinese and Japanese people. I notice a huge percentage of Chinese and Japanese women with White men in the United States. Do Chinese and Japanese men have a problem with this trend or are they supportive of it? Any thoughts on this trend? By the way this thread topic is very wack.
