With money and success comes a different lifestyle. You might be good in your old neighborhood with your boys, but there's always going to be that one dude that wants to get at you...for stripes or whatever reason.

If I had that kind of money, I'd keep the same friends if they were loyal...I'd even give back to the community...but I wouldn't go kick it in an area that I tried to get out of for my entire life...makes no sense...thus eliminating the reason to have some pistols under my seat or on my waist at all times.
