Your own errors refute everything you have to say.

You're talking about you shown how people put up fronts and are fake, are you dumb? You got punked by a grandpa in a fucking truck, you're the last one to be "exposing" people. We all didn't grow up in your peachy world where you dont have to act certain ways around certain people and its daisys and sunflowers and youre biggest scare in life is a grandpa who is a terrible driver, there's a real world out there and that shit'll eat you up if you really have to live it. Staying in your probably gated community and listening to music doesn't expose you to shit but obviously make you think you can judge other peoples lives.

the quality of entertainment across the board has gone down. i feel sorry for a lil kid growin up now. the cartoons are garbage, the toys are garbage, video games ain't the same. movies aren't as good.
kids are now growin up in single homes, mom or dad ain;t there all the time, so they let the tv and internet, and their friends, raise them.
He's 100% right. But I guess the thats the way of the world now.

I'm not talking about spelling and punctuation but just the way people word things and dumb shit down.

LOL quick to judge but your assumptions fall short

I'm not disrespecting anyone but just calling shit how I see it. If you take it as exposing people for the fakes they really are why should you be mad?

I just tire of people blaming society or their background for not wanting to do better. I mean we all have the will power IF we want but why do some chose to fall short.

but that's where individuality come's from..No-one person is gunna act like anyone else,,plus people may listen to the same shit but each person can be getting a different meaning or thinking different shit as they are listening to it..Being positive with life does'nt come from music alone,,music may influence to a certain degree but that person is gunna do what they wanna do,,positive or not..artists may manipulate diff. songs but damm sum of them sound better then what they were and i think that also is a form of creativity so im not gunna nock it..i think most's stems from the influence of friends and family..what happened when they were growing up? what types of people did they roll with? music is a part of a facet to some of these people to have a sense of freedom and just to be creative,,,n some are'nt thinking how others coming up are listening to their songs n thinking of shit diff because maybe they wrote what they wanted..if everyone in life was universal to only one type of music -it would be a boring place...
Individuality? You gotta be kidding with so many people riding the trends that are set forth in music and fashion, individuality and identity do not exist upon the mainstream in society. Some people like to say they're different but are you different if your style is the same as the next man?

There are some things are universal but should acting stupid be an excuse for a trend?

Some people are just desensitized and forget where they came from or who they are.

I guess at a young we're considered raw. I know I did but somewhere along that time line I grew out of my imagination and let other things influence me. It's like I'm breaking free of this shell that I let encapsulate me and define who I was.

I thought I was expressing myself but trying to impress others isn't really my lifestyle. I think that's where everyone is when it comes to living, trying to outshine the next man. But it has nothing to do with what you got but how you live.

What happened to standards like moral and virtue, LOL.

Its all about economics. Economics and art can't coexist. Economics follows a trend, and it forces what's popular into the minds of the mainstream so it can sell the most units. Art is detached from profit. There's too many "hustlers" and not enough "artists" in the music business these days because the record companies have a stranglehold on the market now. Society's dumbed down mindstate is just a reflection of capitalism turning the masses into mindless consumers.

LOL WOW! Doode I'm in apartments for crying out loud.

So I take it by voicing opinion that makes me a republican? Or following the lead of someone is something you do and are good at? Bandwagon I'll let you do your Soulja Boy dance

shit thats why i dont roll with the "next man". life and mentality are strange things. i remember in high school, i knew every person there it felt like, id always be with 4-5 friends. since high school im just hella cautious about people, the way my old friends thought, and their wannabe baddass logic was ridiculous, and i hate drama but it seems drama is a needed ingredient in most peoples life these days, so i dont even really fuck with people anymore on a personal level

Everyone else seems to relate so far in this thread. :ermm: Are you having a hard time accepting reality because even you said the world isn't daisies and sunflowers, if there was truth to that statement you would just accept what I'm writing and ignore it.

You can't attack me on that gated community type shit and it's kind of pointless since I'm just trying to see how many can relate to what I'm feeling. I know not everyone is but that's how it is.

On the reals... why is it that at a young age we're so keen on grammer and that our social skills are so much better than what they are now?

I really don't want to put rap at the forefront but when you see kids imitating shit like retards I can't help but to point the finger.

What happened to songs that you knew were hard? I mean back then I knew the type of shit my parents didn't want me to listen to, but wack ass songs just leave parents like, "THAT'S OK, IT'S CATCHY, I LIKE IT" Instead we got stupid songs like YUNG JOC - COFFEE SHOP putting a hidden message behind it.

I don't mean to drop bombs but ebonics is not a language. I made a thread last week asking if people put up a front in public and while being around certain individuals. Most said they have different versions of them but isn't that in itself putting on a role?

If you can't be yourself 24/7 what's the point of even trying to convince the next person that you're not this and that?

I wanna touch so much on this topic
Read a good book on Sociolinguistics, and you'll know whats going on.

Word Games, Puzzles, Slang, Faking Bad Grammar, Making up words...it's all a cycle, it's all predictable, and it happens in every culture with a spoken language.....Hip-Hop surrounding it or otherwise.

visualizer, i've been thinkin the same shit, especially now that i'm in college, which i guess is a safe haven for all the drones of the world....

what i've realized that would make people start thinkin is when i say "so why do you like that? why do you eat that? why do you wear that?"

once you start asking why, and there is no good reason, then usually the person doing it realizes how really silly they look or act....
