Why Are Most Hip Hop Radio DJ's NON-Black?

Some companies don't hire negroes only negro imposters that can make their voices sound urban and hip which they equate with sounding Black. Why do white girl that date Black dudes still wear that tired ass mushroom hairdo and color their hair. Ever since Bo Derek wore those damn french braids shit has gone downhill from there.

I really don't wanna get too much on the "try to sound black" tip. To be a DJ on a hip hop station it would only make sense to have some hip hop in you but a lot of these DJ's(of all colors actually) sound corny but like I said a lot of the non-black ones overcompensate by tryin to sound all excited & extra ethnic to cross over. There's nothin wrong with a non-black DJ but I noticed for awhile now that there aren't that many. Conspiracy? I wouldn't count that out. Maybe the stations feel like black DJ's are too risky on the air with what they be sayin or are too hard to work with. But at the same time Clear Channel runs most radio so maybe it is a conspiracy.

So I guess growing up and listening to hip hop and knowing the culture isn't having enough hip hop in you? I thought Hip hop was started by a small community in New York; Hip hop wasn't brought over to America from anyone's homeland, it was created in America so it's part of America's many different subcultures. Did you or your ancestors create hip hop? I'm pretty sure that's a No yet you consider yourself hip hop. why? Your attributing hip hop to color of skin, which I think you shouldn't do, and if you did that then why get mad when people attribute crimes to color of skin? It's no different. If you love hip hop and indulge in the culture that should be more than enough to be apart of it. Race is stupid and a social construct. It was created to socially separate people, we're all humans, we're all Americans whether we're proud of that or not (well at least the ones in the America that is) and to consder race in anybody you're just falling into "the man's" plan of dividing and conquering the people. Oh and there's no such thing as talking "black" or "white" I can accept talking "hood" or "intellectually", it's all english. Judge a person by their actions and not their skin color.

U took everything I said out of context homie. The question is why arent there many black ones. Its not like I'm asking why there isnt that many black hocky players. Most niggaz don't play hocky. Period. But I'm sure there are plenty of blacks that would like to break into radio.

I'm not having the Hip Hop is black arguement again, but think about this, 1. do you take non-black rappers seriously? for the most part they aren't taken seriously. and 2. in order to be a dj you need money. djing is an entry into hip hop where your color isn't going to make much of a difference.
