Whos YOUR team and WHY?

Niners---always have been, '95 SuperBowl and TO's catch in '98
A's---I liked the Coliseum when there was a racetrack in center field, so tight
Giants---Yeah, I always liked them both, their in different leagues
Kings---K, since they made the playoffs 6 years ago. I went to a few playoff games. Arco Arena is dope
Warriors---I not a huge fan, but hope they do well
Raiders---Fuck em, but if they're in the playoffs and the niners aren't, then I'd root for the Bay Area team

Mariners - Been a M's fan since i can remember, every year i watch as many games on tv as i can til right around mid season when the team usually starts to go downhill real fast
Blazers - Our only pro team in oregon, dont really watch b ball but i still go for the blazers

Steelers - been a fan of them since i started watching football with a passion. around 10 years ago.

Anaheim Angels - Born in the OC and went to my first game when I was 3. Been a die-hard fan ever since.
Los Angeles Lakers - Again, born in SoCal and it was either them or the Clippers. Plus I loved Magic when I was little. Been a die-hard fan since about '91 I think.
San Diego Chargers - Duh...been livin' in DAGO since I was like 8. Admittedly I was a heavy bandwagoner in my younger days but once the Bolts drafted LT and Brees I was hooked.
Los Angeles Lakers - Again, born in SoCal and it was either them or the Clippers. Plus I loved Magic when I was little. Been a die-hard fan since about '91 I think.
San Diego Chargers - Duh...been livin' in DAGO since I was like 8. Admittedly I was a heavy bandwagoner in my younger days but once the Bolts drafted LT and Brees I was hooked.
It's my opinion that the fans who don't have that geographic connection & continuity with their teams, people who chose their teams through a more random process, don't experience nearly the intensity of emotion that comes with the ups of winning and downs of losing.
I know there's a lot of people who identify as Cowboys fans that match this description.
So I've always thought of those folks as fine, it's a free country they can root for who they want etc etc but when it comes down to it, they're just a different type of fan. It's just somewhat of a shortcut. I kind of feel sorry for them because when they win they don't really feel it as deeply.

I never went for any teams from California if they weren't from San Jose! I don't know why maybe it was because everyone liked the Raiders, 49ers, Warriors or Lakers. I always wanted wanted to be different..
Redskins- I remember watchin them when I was six years old playing the Chicago Bears(Walter Paytons last game) in the playoffs in 86'! That was the first time I ever sat there and watched a full football game even though I was from 49er territory...... I remember watchin the 87' and 91' Superbowl teams, I cried when they won the championships! I always loved the colors burgudy and gold and the Redskins decal... My favorite all time Redskins players are Mark Rypien, Art Monk and Darrell Green.
Spurs- I remember watching George (Ice Man) Gervin highlights when I was young doing sick ass finger rolls and watching David Robinson scoring 71 points against the Clippers... I remember watching all 3 of the Spurs NBA finals! I was so glad when the Spurs drafted Tim Duncan because he was one of my favorite players coming out of college. Favorite players Tim Duncan, David Robinson and the Ice Man!
San Jose Spartans(football)- A native San Jose team.. Not to much to talk about cuz they usually suck even though they had a good season. But I still enjoy watching the Spartan games in person though.

RAIDERSI had the game Tecmo Bowl for NES and Bo Jackson was the best player in the game.Been a die-hard Raiders fan eversince.Fuck Tom Walsh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oakland athletics-my parents first took me to an a's game when i was 4, in 1989...ever since i've been a fan.
dallas cowboys-the first nfl game i've ever watched was a dallas cowboys vs. seattle seahawks game.
i don't have a favorite basketball team. i used to like the sonics, when gp and the reignman were runnin' shit, but now, i don't really care much for basketball...

San Francisco 49ers- Grew up in the bay my moms family loved them and it grew on me
Oakland A's-I got to rep both parts of the bay hated the Raiders for moving and never really cared for the Giants it was the whole Bash Brothers plus my first ever game I gotten tooken to was an A's, White Sox game...in 87 the day Mcgwire hit 47 homers.

And sometimes I'll cheer for teams with players that I really like, example- Steve McNair and the Ravens

I would laugh my ass off if any of these teams crashed and burned in a plane accident and all died horrible deaths. I would hand over 5 years of paychecks and live in a padded cell for years to watch Tom Brady's head explode on TV.
