Former University of Louisville basketball player Luke Whitehead was released from Metro Corrections on a $10,000 bond and will be arraigned on felony drug-trafficking charges on Tuesday in Jefferson District Court.

Whitehead, 28, was arrested in Louisville on Thursday afternoon and charged with trafficking marijuana greater than five pounds and with possession of drug paraphernalia. He posted bond Thursday evening.
Whitehead is from San Francisco and has a home in Louisville.
Whitehead, a 6-foot-6 forward, played at UofL from 2000 to '04 and was a second-generation player at UofL. His father, Eddie, played from 1964 to '66.
