#1 it sounds like you either a)are an astros fan or b)are a Bonds hater.
#2 when's the last time you witnessed ruth, mays, mantle, maris play...wait a fucking minute...did you say maris? Are you fucking kidding...besides hitting 61 jacks one year maris didn't do shit.

Bonds is the shit...and you either hate him cause he's always adding your favorite pitcher to his list, or you hate to watch probably the most prolific hitter ever. By the way, SBC is a pitchers park.

LOL at pitcher park. U do know that mlb in the last 30 years have made changes to every aspect to the game to make it an offense showcase. The mound has been lowered 2 times. Balls are juiced and i mean back in the 70's and earlier sbc park would be considered a hitters park. LMAO

You talkin like an old-timer. I have a feeling that the homeruns Bonds hits today would have gone out of the parks your heros played in. Call me crazy but 500 ft shots would have been sufficient back then too. Also, if it's such a hitters park why doesn't everyone put baseballs into the bay? Bonds has definitly cornered the market on splash hits.

How about you go and take steroids, would you be in the league hitting 73 jacks next year? Doubtful. "the ball is juiced, the batters are juiced" either way you still have to swing your little bat at that little ball,(coming anywhere from 70 mph to 95mph) and hit it. Not only did barry hit 73 but then he came back the next year and hit .370! Let me say that again, .3-fucking-70. So fuck all that roids talk, I could give a shit if he is, still the best hitter I'VE ever seen.

most home runs he ever hit was 49 and only twice before that did bonds get into the 40's then all of a sudden he explodes for 73. Its bullshit. At least sosa, griffey and mcgwire have always been a big home run threat hitting in the 50's. And i guess since hes the best hitter uve ever seen u havent even seen ablert plujos yet?

1. You sound like a giants fan
2. You sound like a bonds fan
3. Im a braves fan and a Tigers fan

You are a fucking moron with that shit. Barry is a fuckin beast and is one of the best ever. He may be a dick at times and thats probably why you don't like him. At least he's not a fake like Sammy Sosa all smiles on the outside and a dick behind the cameras.

Did Barry not return your letter, Stan?

one thing everyone has failed to mention is there is no proof bonds ever used steroids. everyone is quick to say innocent until proven guilty until it has to do with someone you dont like.

and second, you have to disregard everything that daytonfamily says because he put roger maris in the same breath as hall of famers. anyone that knows baseball would not have done that. only casual fans would make that comparison

oooooooh shit ooooooooooooooh shit that's harsh lol but i forgot who said it earlier, but yeah manny (ramirez) is off the fucking chain, he's sick his teammate is raw to david ortiz, but i think once a-rod wins a world series with the yankees within the next couple of years, is the youngest to hit 400 and 500 hr, everyone's gonna forget bout bonds plus bonds never had 6 straight 40 hr seasons hitting 50 in 2 of them, this year is gonna be 7

Manny has always been a sav, but for me, i'd just rather have bonds at the plate. one thing i love is his ability to crowd it. Im sorry, with or without the steroids, bonds has just gotten better. hes just been able to increase his hitting ability. science and logic says that he should have tapered off by now, but he has his best seasons in the ages of 36-40? thats just crazy. i could chop game about baseball forever, and i hate bonds off the field as much as the next person, but theres no denying his hitting ability.

Everyone is failing to see the most obvios difference between Bonds and ManRam, A-Rod, Sosa, fill in the blank______, and that is that these players have hitters around them,translation-THEY GET PITCHES TO HIT! Barry does it with Ed-gordo Alfonso, or Pedro Feliz protecting him...Who?. Fact of the matter is if you put Barry in any of those other line ups, either his walk totals would be outlandish, even more than now, or his hitting totals would be from another planet.
@Daytonfam, I sniffed you out as a Bonds hater pages ago, that's cool, people hate what they fear. And I hope you went somewhere to look up those Maris career numbers. Get educated, and then get at me. :siccness:

After yet another exasperating walk, Barry Bonds became a reluctant major league record holder. Bonds surpassed Rickey Henderson as the career walks leader in the San Francisco Giants ' 9-6 loss to the visiting Oakland Athletics on Sunday.

"I don't know how to react to a walks record," Bonds said. "It's just another one. I'd rather hit, but the circumstances — it's just what it is. I need a ring with all these other records."

The most feared hitter in baseball walked in the sixth to tie Henderson, then eclipsed him in the eighth when he drew four straight balls from Chad Bradford after falling behind 0-2.

Bonds ambled down to first base for the 2,191st time and picked up the bag to commemorate the moment.

"That's incredible," Hall of Famer Orlando Cepeda said. "Barry's a cleanup hitter. Henderson was a leadoff hitter who's supposed to walk."

Bonds has been drawing walks at a remarkable rate in recent years because few teams are willing to challenge him. He already has 121 walks in the Giants' first 82 games — including 63 intentional passes — and is on pace to shatter his single-season record of 198 set in 2002.
