the first nigga to put out a rap record from sd was a cat by the name of SOULFUL EARNIE.this was in about 1985.he died from aids in about 92.i know because he lived on my street when i was a young child.back then the radio station was 92.5 and he would get cool spins without needin payola.his record reached #1 in houston for a min.then came BIG Green Eyes, from my set again and the Notourious Gangsta Earn from 5/9 Brims.My nigga from the WrongKind,Greeny Green, is better know on the streets of S.D. as Baby Green Eye's after BIG Green Eye's.O.G. Little more history..

I had a 5 song ep out in 88 before I got indicted in 89. It's hella rare, and never was for sale. I was straight bangin' on it. Stupid shit, sayin' shit a nigga was actually doin' at that time. Glad niggaz can't find it now. I did 3 songs over Too Short's Freaky tales, and 2 songs off of Young MC's beat "I let em' know". Traclisting was:

The homies still talk about that tape. I still remember the lyrics to Mission Possible, and The Young Gangsta. I never heard Gangsta Earn or Green Eyes, cause them niggaz came out after we all got gaffled. I always wonder what would've happened if I wouldn't have did all them years. I could've blew up by now, or I could've been dead too, cuz a nigga was out here doin' way too much. Niggaz had contracts on me and some mo' shit. Real spit.

But it was another nigga out of Dago that was raw, but he was rappin' in the early 80's. His name is Willie D (before the one from Houston). That's who I used to look up to. First nigga I heard rap about gangsta shit. He had a song about og Bake Nuts from NH that got killed in the early 80's. Willie D just never put an album out.

you might be talking about... "Mistery" from "get down posse" but ice-t did'nt put him out...he had ice-t in the video and coolio...it was on chisum records. the song was called "Rollin wit tha funk" 92-93 (if i remember it right.)

Yep my nigga, DJL (my initials) was my bangin and rap name. Two reasons why I ain't usin' that name now is because I took my brother's name because I feel everybody forgot about him, so I wanted to keep his name alive, and I also wanted a fresh start from the One Time, because if I would've came out rappin' under that name (or mentioned my real first name) they would've been on a nigga from jump, and brought up all that old shit and put 2 and 2 together on a nigga. i remember waaaaaaay before Dago's most hated..... they were called "Dago's crush militia" devious, k.g.,mistery, d-wiz, a whole damn tribe of rappers all under Doc devious's production.
