i wont lie...i feel like obfcl2 met its expectations and in some ways, surpassed it.
i could quite well be biased, being a huge raekwon fan.
edit: and the fact raekwon never changed is what makes him my favorite. no one seemed to like immobilarity, and it sounded different, so i think he saw ghost having success doing his original style and a need for 'the old cuban linx" so rae ran with it. seems logical to me.
but i liked all his mixtapes too, i think thats part of rap now, like a mixtape might be better than an album. theres needs to be less emphasis on where you place your music now, no one buys albums anyway, so a mixtape is the same as an album....someone told me the other day that your music isnt the end of the road..if you make an album you can make another...you just use the album you made to take you where your going...so i think when someone has a real successful mixtape they feel in prime shape to drop an album..my bad just thinkin about the shit
