The Cds Are Dead. There's A Good Chance That alot of the tonite show albums to come will be digital albums but will have alot more songs and videos to make up for not havin the hard copy. In the 2 last years we have spent multiples of thousands on cds and also handling cds that there not worth the headache. DJFresh actually sells a bundle of cds on his tours and the stores alwayz sell out but wanna pay in small incriments. The distribution companies you have to fight with them 2 as wellto get your money. what does siccness think?

CD are dead, its tough to sell something that people can get for free. The name of the game now is getting people to support artists by going to shows and buying shit that they can't bootleg as easily.

i buy cd's still. If you dont wanna deal with the hassle of distributers. thats cool i cna understand as long as there is a way to get your music in my ipod or car. i aint trippin. NOTHING LIKE HAVING A HARD COPY THO.

CD's most recently copped: Stiki Gilatine's "Block Choppin" "Fly Guy" "Posiden Mixtape" and Playa Rae's "Days like this".....

I buy CDs and I buy vinyl. I need that physical copy. If an album is distributed as a download only album I don't fuck with it. I've experienced loss of data due to computer crashes so I don't want an all digital music collection who needs backup on external hard discs every now and then.

i dont buy CD's anymore. I dont see any reason too, its too much clutter. Everything can just go on your ipod. My CD's always got stolen or lost somewhere. And even if i do lose my computer, itunes will return everything i bought from them. And for the stuff i didn't buy, i will just DL again, shit it was free anyway, that's life.

U can take your ipod jogging, in the car to connect to your radio, on your home system, i aint tryna run around wit a walkman on my waist.

I BELIEVE THAT PEOPLE SAY CD'S ARE DEAD 4 THE SIMPLE FACT THAT THEY DONT BUY THEM BUT U CANT SPEAK 4 THE WHOLE WORLD..I HAVE ALWAYS BOUGHT CD'S AND ALWAYS WILL...I DONT BUY AS MANY RAP CD'S AS I USE 2 BUT I STILL BUY ARTISTS LIKE CHARLIE WILSON AND THEN DOWNLOAD IT 2 MY COMPUTER. WHEN I GO ON ROAD TRIPS I BUY CD'S ALSO. ITS NOT 4 EVERYONE BUT IM OLD SCHOOL ANYWAY.
AS A BUSINESSMAN I HAVE STEPPED UP THE PACCAGING PROCESS AND SPENT MORE MONEY ON DIGIPACCS INSTEAD OF CONVENTIONAL CD'S. I THINK FANS WILL APPRECIATE THAT. I AM ALSO PLANNING ON MAKING LIMITED EDITION CD'S WITH GOLD TRIM 2 MAKE THE PROJECTS LOOK MORE APPEALING 2 THE CONSUMER. LIKE I SAID..I HAVE BEEN PROMOTING IN PLACES IN THE MIDWEST WHERE PEOPLE DONT EVEN HAVE COMPUTERS...BUT THEY LOVE MUSIC AND ITS ALL ABOUT SUPPLY AND DEMAND IN THIS BUSINESS. PLUS ITS EASIER 2 KEEP TRACC OF YOUR SALES WITHOUT A MIDDLEMAN.

Last albums I bought were 70's Baby and Da Krazies. I'll gladly buy something hardcopy or digital if it's worth supporting.

Although it sounds like a good idea if you include extra tracks that wouldn't fit on a cd, maybe you can start releasing the instrumentals along with the regular songs?

its not being cheap.its saving money for quality shit. most new rappers need to step their lyrical game up. If u just got tight beats with bullshit messages. then i will be a clicking muthafucker on them torrents getting ur shit for free.but if its tight. like some illmatic, doggystyle, chronic, makaveli, in a major way, classic shit. then ill pay for it. people are picky nowadays. They wanna have money in the bank.

maybe these new rappers should start rappin about bein broke instead being rich. Then maybe the fans will start spending some money to go broke

press up a limited run for the true fans. You can even make it a limited edition shtick (1/2500), throw in some extras that don't cost much (sticker, box/ fancy packaging, autograph, 1 color print t-shirt) to keep the price at $15-20.

Example:
CD - $1
T-Shirt - $3
Box - $1
Stickers - $.25
Autograph - Free
Total cost - $5.25

Sell direct @ $20 each plus shipping, that's $15 profit.
