i know all the corporate shit that you deal with, ive actually been inside the clear channel office in s.f. and have talked to one of the executives there "reegan",even smoked a blunt with him while he was in suit and tie. he was tryin help us out by gettin radio play and etc, but they talkin bout $5000-$10,000 for a package deal and it dont even "guarentee" you will be in rotation. and obviously chingy, ludacris, p ditty etc all gonna get play, cuzz even if the lil kids wasnt callin, p. ditty just drop clear channel a nice million dolla check to keep his shit on rotation, and eventually the kids all get brain washed into listing, then buying there albums.... thats not to say all that shit is weak muzic, but fact is money talks, and the more you play a song, the more people gonna want the album, and want to hear that song, its a proven fact. and we aint got much money out here, we all got kids to feed, baby mama takin half our checks, high rent, low pay, drug and alchohol problems, bad traffic, drive by's and no jobs.... tell me how we supposed to overcome these objectives and afford the type of money to get propper radio play.... i mean bash "suga suga" get played a decent amount.... why is his song on very often, yet a san quinn song, or mr. kee track only see's a 1 time spin 4-5 times a week at late hours??? is it the money that universal breakin, or is the suga suga song that tite??? or is it the fact that everyone is requesting that song??? if its the fact people are just callin in..... then that says if you play more of our muzic, we will get more sales.... and oh i never sleep, i be hustlin shit while im snorin, i define the term hustler if you seen me at it..... yet like i said our resources are so few, how does a hustler with quality product get noticed, airplay, a deal, money etc???? im prolly one of the best promoters in the bay area, that shit just aint workin good enough, sales will only get better for us if we have radio and video play... how do we get that????
