How is the new A Perfect Circle CD? How does it compare to the first two? Someone told me that the new one sucked....let me know.....
Here's tracklisting for the new APC album Emotive.

1.Annihilation
2.Imagine (Remake)
3.Peace Love And Understanding
4.What's Going On (Remake)
5.Passive
6.Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie
7.People Are People
8.Freedom Of Choice
9.Let's Have A War
10.Counting Bodies Like Sheep To The Rhythm Of The War Drums
11.When The Levee Breaks
12.Fiddle And The Drum

As you can probably tell by the cover & tracklisting, the album's theme is pretty much based on current events and its pretty dark but I thought it was a good album overall, but for anyone who is just starting to listen to APC, I suggest they bump the first to albums to get a feel for Maynard's style. But I read somewhere that this album is just something to hold the fans over till the next one & to let people know that their still doin their thing, and that there is a harder APC album in the works.

Was it in Frisco? If so I was at that concert. Shit was off the hook! Is Mars Volta the band before APC that sounded like Zepplin with 10 minute songs? I wasn't feeling them too much, but that was the first time I heard anything from them.

No it was at the Tacoma Dome in Washington. But the same line up. Also The Mars Volta have only been playing together for a little over a year and a half (except the lead singer and guitarist) so they are still working out their kinks. The Mars Volta cd "De-loused In the Comatorium" is a great cd you should check it out. The 15 minute song (well atleast the one they played here) was acctually 2 of their songs in one. It started out with one song...than went into the other..and than back to the first song for the end.

As for A Perfect Circles newst release I have still yet to pick it up but I have heard most of it. I thought it sounded pretty good. All but I think 2-3 songs are covers of other bands (John Lennon, Marvin Gaye, etc) Maynard said this is just to hold the fans over till the next real APC...than it is back to Tool (I can't wait for this album/tour)

Yeah that was Mad Season. They had a album called "Above". The album was pretty solid. I got it on cd and on vinyl. If you like Layne's(R.I.P.) vocals it is worth checking out.

I just can't STAND all the fuckin "TRL Rock" that's been comin out the past few years....Linkin Park is OK to me (somewhat) but all that other shit that sounds like they put Greenday and Blink 182 in a blender an spit it out PISSES ME OFF!! Shit like Yellowcard an all these other "San Diego" happy bands....I hope they all rot in hell...

Real Talk.. all that shiet where foos sound like they from San Diego but they live in Waldorf.. shit like that is annoying.. Hard to tell these foos apart. I tried listening to some of that "music" but I just can't understand it. I really don't understand how anyone can enjoy the vocals (Newfound glory?) That doode.. I just don't get it.

As far as rock goes, Im diggin some Metallica (pretty much anything BEFORE the Load album), Sabbath, Iron Maiden (back to the vocals... bruce dickinson is a muhfucka who can sing.)
When I think of Rob Halford, Bruce Dickinson, Ronnie James Dio, That doode from Queen, and a couple others I just can't understand why ppl are feeling bands like New Found Glory.... but to each his own I guess.

The other day my cousin was lookin up some shiet on her computer and was talkin bout some band.... describes it as "Hardcore Christian Screamo"... dayum, that's sum crazy shit.
