Almost every hood had an artist. Fillmore, HP, Lakeview, Sunnydale, 3rd Street.....Shit was poppin off real lovely. We used to be able to do shows at the On Broadway or The Stone....
75% of my collection is 90's northern california CD's & tapes. I find myself still picking up more old than new but there is some good stuff out there just harder to seperate. These days I rarely take a risk on something I know little about but before I had more faith in folks standards. Being 31 that mid 90's era does bring back a lot of good memories but it's not stopping me from making new ones, just a lil more PG...lol.
